高樓飯店(Tall Storeys)

We opted for this as it was given a high rating. Having had leg surgery we specifically asked about parking, you park on the road & it’s hit & miss if you get a space anywhere near the B&B. It can be described as “quirky” with 4 poster beds & lots of ornaments. It felt a bit outdated & in need of a spring clean & freshen up. Moona & Ian are nice people & the breakfast was good & we were looked after in the mornings for sure. There’s no lifts only stairs just a heads up if you struggle. Felt overpriced for the room.

What a lovely place to stay. Morna & Ian are both very friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts were very good, the room was comfy and well designed. The four-poster bed was a nice change from the norm. Only a short walk from everywhere we wanted to go in town.

Warm welcome, comfortable bed, well appointed bedroom and a delicious breakfast! Very well located, minutes from the harbour and the castle, easy distance to both South and North Bays, as well as the railway station, theatre and shops.

Fantastic B&B Booked to go to a concert at Scarborough open air theatre. Lovely hosts, Super breakfast both days, Spotless, Comfy bed, Cannot fault this place at all! Woulld recommend & book again!

B and Bs don't get much better than this! Tucked away in Scarborough Old Town, Tall Storeys is a beautiful old building that's cosy, welcoming, quirky and relaxing. You can feel the TLC the owners give it. Our room had a four poster bed and an amazing view over Scarborough South Bay, all amenities and even dressing gowns! The owners are lovely too. Breakfast is made to be special, with your own table of cereals, jams etc. When ordering our host sat down and was so attentive. It's a very special place. We would highly recommend.

Location is central for North or South bays. Close to the castle on a quiet road. Breakfast was lovely and is set out on individual tables for each room. Handy for the cricket.

We really enjoyed are stay at Tall Storys really comfortable and the breakfast was really good , excellent value .

We came and stayed here before - what could be almost 10 years ago, and it was nice to see the same lovely couple still running the place, and old fashioned style listed building. Within there's a good sized communal lounge with a mix of chairs and sofas. I found myself using this room to use my laptop, and while in there, an old book caught my eye all about the Germany Navy in WW1 shelling the town - I had no idea. The breakfasts were just as nice as I remember them - no cheap nasty bacon found here. Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The man, Ian did all the cooking, and Morna did the serving. As we were the only one's there during a quiet time, she had more time than usual to chat with us. As others have said, very nice and friendly. I think it's a difficult balance to strike when running a place like this, especially when few guests are in, to be overly chatty and in your face, vs holding back and an awkward silence - Morna's way of dealing with this, was to sit across the same room, reading something with a quiet distant radio. It might sound simple, but it worked great. Aside from the cooked English, is a variety of cereals, and freshly chopped up fruit, yogurts, toast and jam etc. All fresh - clearly this is where the extra bit of money goes that the larger places don't bother with. The hotel is very close to the castle on the hill, and although it's very close to the seafront/town centre, does require a bit of an uphill walk on the final leg. Another thing I was happy to see the back of, was all the covid restrictions. There was still an old notice from days gone by, but mostly things seemed to be back to normal. I certainly hope to visit the place again, if and when we next plan to stay over in Scarborough.
