崖上旅館(On the Cliff)

Watching beautiful sunset over volcano while sipping a glass of wine was a wonderful experience 👍🍷

The view is stunning, directly facing the sea. The location is nice, quite close to the bus station and shops nearby. The family room is a beautiful, big and clean cave house. The bed is very comfortable. But there is a long sloping stairs. Fortunately the staff helped us to take the luggages. We had our breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The sea view is also perfect! The breakfast is hearty and delicious. Most importantly the chef is handsome and caring. Thank you for leaving us happy memories in santorini!

All the jacuzzi tubs didn’t work except one and air conditioner didn’t work. Felt like both of these things were complained about by past guests and never fixed. I asked about both and got the same response “I will get a maintenance person to take a look at it.” Both had the same outcome, nothing was fixed. The place needs some infrastructure work. Breakfast was good and the views are amazing.

Breathtaking and charming hotel. Rooms are built into the Cliff, so imagine a cave. Extremely easy check in and close to so many fabulous restaurants. My only wish is that I wish we’d stayed longer!!!

We had booked "Junior Suite with Caldera View and Private Jacuzzi - B" (Room 4 on the property). Positive points: 1.The room was clean and look like caves - very cool. 2.The view is amazing outside of the room. 3.The location is great, right in the middle of Fira. 4.Staff were also very friendly and checked us is earlier. 5.Breakfast was served everyday in the bar-restaurant with the caldera view! Negative points: 1. We had reserved this room between all of our options because we wanted to relax in a hot jacuzzi while enjoying the view but, jacuzzi was not hot and did not have the view as advertised in the pictures, WRONG pictures. The cold jacuzzi water was a known issue with the property as they have stated that their heating system is not capable of warming the water in the winter time. and this was the same for all other guests at other rooms as well. Also, the stairs are somewhat blocking the view too in room #4. 2. Here is a list of things that was in our booking but was not available : - 24-hour front desk - In-room safe - Almost all COVID 19 Hygiene related policies such as "Each guestroom is kept vacant for a minimum of 24 hours between bookings." were ignored. - Down Duvet - Bathrobes Overall: Not worth the money in the winter time.
