I am not sure where to start. I don't normally write reviews but I feel compelled to write this because the hotel and staff were just AMAZING. It was my husband and I's 13th Wedding anniversary and we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite. I had emailed the hotel in advance to enquire about the transfers from the airport to the hotel - they immediately responded and everything was organised for us. It was a hassle free process and it made our anniversary all that much smoother. When we arrived to the hotel I was a little unsure because the gem was hidden away in the side road. I was not prepared for the sheer beauty that awaited us. The check in process was fast and efficient. We selected our breakfast choice and time for the following day. We were then escorted to our room. The views were just WOW!!!. When we walked into the room there was a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us. We swiftly took this out and sat watching the beautiful scenery. We were really lucky with our room as it was hidden away and had great privacy. Breakfast - They bring the breakfast to your room and you can arrange to have this outside. Of course we decided to have this outside each morning so we can soak up the wonderful view. Each morning they called us in advance to let us know our breakfast was ready and confirm we were happy for it to be brought to us. It was such a courteous thing to do. Staff - The customer service was impeccable. From the front desk manager to the ground keepers. They were all so lovely and polite. We hadn't really organised any activities or transport and when we arrived they did this all for us. We were so grateful. One of the best trips was the sunset cruise. I am sooo glad we did this. It was so much fun and just so romantic watching the sun set, whilst drinking a glass of wine, hand in hand with my husband. That is a memory that will stay with me forever. Weather - it was slightly chilly so we had jumpers but it did get really hot throughout the day. Just bare that in mind if you book in April. Transport - the hotel is outside of Oia and Fira so I would advise hiring a car otherwise it can be expensive if you book a taxi. We did go to visit Oia and Fira both of which are stunning places especially Oia. I would recommend getting to Oia to see the views quite early as it can be quite busy. We were really happy with the location of our hotel as it was lovely and quite just wanted we needed. Value for money - the hotel was worth every penny. I would say Santorini is not the cheapest of places and I would compare it with UK spend. The average 2 course meal plus 2 drinks would be roughly £150.00. This really does depend on where you eat. So, shop around for the best deals. Myself and husband have never been one for returning back to the same hotel but we would make an exception for this place. If you are looking for a genuine, authentic, lovely hotel with spectacular views then you need to book this place. You will not be disappointed.
