Excellent place to stay. Would highly recommend it. Location is perfect to experience Santa Fe!

La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico, deserves a solid five stars. The historic charm, impeccable service, and vibrant Southwestern ambiance create a memorable experience. From the tastefully decorated rooms to the delicious on-site dining options, every detail reflects the essence of Santa Fe's rich culture. The attentive staff goes above and beyond, ensuring a delightful stay. La Fonda Hotel truly encapsulates the spirit of this enchanting destination.

La Fonda is centrally located in Santa Fe city center and offers full amenities for food, cocktails, and shopping. Everything downtown is walking distance. Our Deluxe room was comfortable and clean. This is not a Vegas resort - neither opulent nor posh. But the bed was perfect for sleep and what have you, and the bathroom was stylish with a great shower. Anymore, my wish for a hotel room is a good shower and a good pillow, and LaFonda hit these fundamentals on both counts. The sitting area in the Deluxe room was a sofa next to windows looking out on the market across the street. As veteran Santa Fe visitors, we ventured out into town for meals, but the cocktail bar was a nice place to end the day with a nightcap and a little live music. We especially liked the filtered water source in the ice machine, and the Nespresso coffee service in our room was a nice bit of posh. Overall, a nice two-nite stay in an upscale space that made us feel well-attended and left us feeling refreshed at the end of our weekend runaway.

I booked my reservation on ******* because I saw they were a pet friendly hotel. When I went to check in and they asked me if I had a pet I said yes, a cat. They immediately told me I couldn’t check in because they don’t accept cats. Nowhere on the ******* site did it tell me that. I was mortified after a 7 Hour Drive from Denver and they were completely unaccommodating. I would never stay there again or recommend that hotel because they don’t know how to convey the proper information on their third-party channels.

Stayed for 2 nights . The room was adequate although it lacked counter space to place items. It was small to the point that moving around within it was logistically a challenge. The wall paint in several areas was chipped and needed to be respackled and painted. The bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. Overall, an acceptable room. The staff, in all aspects were friendly and accommodating. We chose the hotel for its location. It is ideal to explore the downtown area and restaurants.

The property is unique and beautiful, the staff were very friendly and that is one of key points that my mother touched on,the friendliness and willingness to help with anything. This is my second visit to NM and to La Fonda and I can't wait to come back again.

Location was great! The hotel is very dark and room was dated and worn. Beds were ok but nothing special. Our room needed a paint job as there were multiple scuff marks and stains on walls. Carpet seemed dingy. The chair in the room was completely non-functional as the seat sagged a good 6 inches below the frame. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly. Will try other accommodations in the future.

Beautiful property and perfectly situated on the edge of the plaza. Everything is within walking distance from the Canyon road galleries to the Rail yard area. Lovely restaurant with soaring ceiling, skylights, trees and fairy lights. The bar has live music and a few people were dancing. The reason for a 4 instead of 5 star review is that my friend got a free upgrade for her room and had nightly chocolates and turn down service while I did not. Probably because I booked through *******. Also, I could easily hear talking and coughing through the walls of one of the rooms next to me. They stayed up late but thankfully I brought my ear plugs.

We had a great time at La Fonda! I love its location and amenities, plus the bar and restaurants in the hotel are excellent.
