MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM WHICH AIRPORT!!!
When I'm relying on the hotel airport shuttle, i don't just assume shuttle will work the way I need to when I'm traveling. I say this because when i found this hotel, before booking it, I contacted the hotel to ask questions and had a whole conversation on how to access the shuttle, times it availability, etc.
Apparently, I did not ask the most obvious question... WHICH AIRPORT?
I flew into the San Francisco International and there is another airport, Oakland International, less than an hour from the one I flew into.
I find this out after I land, at 10 PM, and you guessed it.. the hotel said too sad, too bad. ******* contacted on my behalf, as well, and got a no on refund.
Now, I'm willing to admit that I should have looked for carefully. However, it has the feeling of bait and switch and I'm highly doubtful that this hasn't happened to someone else. I'm not from San Franscisco and did not know there were two large airports so close to each other. Again, I get it... not their job to give me a geography lesson.
BUT...I had a long conversation with A PERSON at the hotel before reserving the room and the best perspective I can give is that someone who answers the phone at the hotel and talks about the shuttle doesn't give a crap... and that is best case scenario. *sigh*
At 10 PM, after flight from Florida and learning I was SOL, I was booked The Atrium Hotel...and you can see the price of my loss.
