Residence Inn Dana Point San Juan Capistrano

Nice property and amazing and friendly staff. The issue with this property is it is right next to train tracks. There is a crossing below the property and trains pass all day and night and they have to blast the horns due to the crossing. Two nights and very little sleep. If you need to stay here, I highly recommend you request a room on the street side and far away from the train tracks.

I paid for my room in advance to stay 2 nights in a Double Queen Suite. When I arrived with my wife and three kids I was informed my room was double booked and no longer availabale and that no rooms were available even though I already paid. The desk staff said they arranged a 2 night stay at a different hotel 20 minutes away. When we arrived at that hotel we were informed that our room was only available for 1 night that we would have to move again. After several phone calls with the very rude Residence Inn Manager, Valarie Roriguez, we were finally moved to another hotel that had a room available for us. When I asked about the refund that I was promised I was told to contact *******. The staff even had the audacity to blame ******* for thier own failure to contact me and tell me that my room was given away before I arrived. This experience was HORRIBLE!
