維亞羅馬飯店(Hotel Via Roma)

The hotel location it’s 25 mins walk from the downtown, overall it’s an old hotel with everything little old, but it’s cheap, so I guess it’s compensated

Pro: Guter Service, unkomplizierter Check-in/Check-out, großzügiges Zimmer/Badezimmer. Contra: Das W-Lan instabil, nach der Reinigung fremde Haare auf dem Bett, Hauptstraße direkt vor dem Fenster recht laut, sehr schwache Zimmerbeleuchtung.

Très mauvais service à la clientèle, les membres du personnel sont complètement détachés des problèmes vécus et sont condescendants …. Wifi absent de la chambre (problème connu de l’établissement et pourtant le propriétaire ne fait rien…) Attention, le parking est loin d’être inclus. Il s’agit d’une petite cour arrière de moins de 10 places qui partage les espaces avec la pizzeria annexée à l’hôtel… Il a fallu qu’on stationne dans la rue. Il y a également eu de la construction très bruyante tôt or matin sans avertissement. Je ne recommande pas du tout cet endroit et je n’y retournerai jamais. D’ailleurs, ******* devrait changer l’annonce pour stationnement limité et non stationnement inclus. Nous avons été très déçus à kotre arrivée de devoir stationner dans la rue..

We were in Europe for 18 days and I ranked this hotel as one of the best place to stay in that is within our budget: Spacious bathroom, plenty of hot water , comfortable and clean beds. Our room faces the fortress which I forgot to take a photo but attached a photo of the hotel from the fortress itself. Parking is free but as it’s first come first serve one could pay for a reserved lot to guarantee a lot. We didn’t opt for paid parking lot but the very nice man manning the Reception showed us where to park . We were impressed by how patient and kind he was going outside with us to point the bus stop and coming behind with us to show us where to park , especially when the couple he served before us was unnecessarily rude and curt . This man is a gem - he continued to be polite despite being treated without respect and even apologised for keeping us waiting. What beautiful manners! There were a pair of Mozart chocolates besides the bedside which we appreciate. A kettle and tea cups would make our stay even perfect haha - a gentle hint to the management

Tolles Ambiente. Sehr geräumiges und top sauberes Zimmer. Tolle Auswahl beim Frühstück.War sehr zufrieden. 👍👍👍

와이파이가 조금 맘에 들지 않았지만, 나머지 시설은 괜찮았습니다. 바로 앞에 버스 정류장이 있는 것도요.

Ich bin vom Hotel Via Roma total begeistert. Ich habe es meiner Mutter für ihren nächsten Salzburg-Aufenthalt empfohlen und werde es auch anderen Leuten empfehlen. Es ist nicht teuer und es ist alles vorhanden, was ich mir wünsche. Es gibt mehrere Kleiderbügel zum Aufhängen von Kleidung und man kann Kleidung auch außerhalb des Kastens aufhängen statt nur innerhalb des Kastens. Das ist gut, wenn die Kleidung nass ist. Alles ist ruhig, kein Lärm. Eine freundliche Putzfrau putzt täglich, richtet die Decke, bringt neue Handtücher und einen neuen Duschvorleger und leert die Mistkübel. In der Dusche und am Waschbecken gibt es einen Seifenspender. Ich habe meine eigene Seife mitgebracht, aber der Seifenspender ist zusätzlich hilfreich. Als ich beim Check-out meine Seife schon eingepackt hatte und noch einmal das WC benützte und mir die Hände wusch, war der Seifenspender willkommen. Ebenso ist es, wenn man gerade angekommen ist und die eigene Seife noch nicht ausgepackt hat. Auch ein Föhn ist vorhanden. Im Kasten befindet sich auf dem Boden ein Safe, worin ich meine Wertsachen einsperren konnte. Es hat während meines Aufenthalts in Salzburg viel geregnet und es war immer sehr angenehm, in das schöne Zimmer und den schönen, großen Wasch- und Duschraum zurückzukommen. Gleich neben dem Hotel ist eine Obus-Haltestelle, von der aus man mit dem Obus schnell in die Innenstadt gelangt. Supermärkte und Banken sind zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen.

Reception never mentioned cost of breakfast. When we went we were never told our breakfast of pastries and fruit would be 17 euros per person per day. Had we known we would have never eaten there. Charged credit card afterwards without telling us. Parking is very limited only 4 spots and those are shared with pizza restaurant next door. If there is no space you are on your own to find parking. Unhelpful in helping us change from 3 to 2 nights even though we contacted both them and ******* prior to cancellation. Don’t expect much help from hotel and make sure to ask as many questions as you can. Very disappointed with ******* and hotel via Roman. Will definitely never stay there again and would not recommend.

Well, I don't understand why people say they were surprised to find out the hotel is not in Salzburg's city centre. Indeed it is in the suburb of Nonntal. So? No problem at all as there are buses that go straight to the city within 10min or so. Bus No 5 is 3min away, bus No 25 approx 6min (if you wanna visit Palace Hellbrunn this bus would take you there in around 10min too). The receptionist was really lovely and friendly and even researched the bus timetable (there is also an app for Salzburg transport...all easy). We stayed there for one night only. The price of around 155 Euros was quite high and we didn't know why. The room itself was nice and clean, the bathroom very spacious (if you wanna take dance lessons, take the dance teacher there...plenty of space...joking apart, really nice), free wifi, comfy beds, air con, we got a room with a view (Hello, Salzburg fortress!) and breakfast was included (buffet, plenty of choices). Also there is free parking which was a bit of a hassle as guests of the Italian restaurant within the building would park their cars there too. But: the receptionist showed us where to park. You can park almost anywhere behind the hotel. If there is no parking lot available you can park the car in the hotel area for 3hrs for free (and when the guests of the pizzeria have left you get your car there...easy). Would we recommend it? Yes, but maybe there are cheaper options available. Who knows.
