Best hotel in STL

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel, which was marketed as a luxury experience. Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted our staycation, especially considering we were traveling with a 7-month-old baby. Firstly, we encountered a lack of hot water in our initial room, necessitating a room change. Additionally, we were surprised to learn that daily room cleaning services were not provided. This was attributed to previous incidents involving the alleged theft of guest items by the cleaning staff, leading to a policy where rooms are not cleaned during a guest's stay. Furthermore, we noticed considerable dust accumulation in our room, including dirty vents, and found the heating system to be inadequate. These conditions are not only uncomfortable but also raise concerns about the overall maintenance and cleanliness standards of the hotel. While the exterior architecture and lobby decor are indeed impressive and beautifully designed, the quality of our room and the services provided did not meet the expected standards of a luxury hotel. Regrettably, this experience has fallen short of what we anticipated, and we will be checking out tomorrow morning.

The British theme in this hotel is awesome. Definitely unique. Most of the staff were awesome and the dining options plus free breakfast were an added plus. Did not like that the heat and air conditioner did not work in our room and also we were told to be quieter while having a drink in the hotel bar which was annoying.

Wow, que dire ? Avec cette hôtel on est replongé dans l'Angleterre de la reine Victoria. Le problème, c'est que c'est resté dans l'époque. La déco est lourde, l'ambiance poussiéreuse et les chambres auraient besoin d'un serieux coup de fraîcheur. Certes le petit-déjeuner est compris, mais il n'y a quasiment pas de table pour manger, juste des meubles de décoration d'antiquités. Du coup on doit manger sur des sofas. Le seul point un peu positif, la piscine est sympa. Donmage qu'il n'y avait de serviettes.

Quite run down and noisy. The staff was nice, but the bedding and mattress were in poor condition, my door had no safety latch, the water pressure was low, and the carpet was dirty. My neighbors woke me early in the morning because of the thin walls.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent breakfast. Accommodating staff. Good location.

While it has a really cool “retro” decor, it seems it’s really just because the property is dated. Our room was noisy due to the hvac system and the shower was so small my shoulders nearly touched each wall. That’s the bad- the good is that it’s in a convenient, safe location and there’s an excellent dispensary around the corner- next time in StLouis, we will be looking for a more modern boutique hotel.
