聖路易斯彭尼韋爾飯店（希爾頓旗下飯店）(The Pennywell St.Louis Downtown, a Hilton Hotel)

Location was convenient to the events that I planned to attend, and the cleanliness was great. The staff seemed to be less than friendly. The drinks while made expertly and tasted great were served with condescension and comments from what sounded like an overworked bartender who was unhappy to be working that day. Checkout was smooth as long as you don’t expect to be met with pleasantries or customer service. The room while clean had visible light coming through the door frame, cold coming through the poorly sealed windows and broken shades. Sounds from any door closure or person in the hallway echoed in the room and shook the floor. I am a heavy sleeper but still found no need for an alarm clock as the other rooms opening and closing took car of that for me. Parties in my group had no similar complaints from the nearby hotels. My next trip to St Louis will avoid this location.

The room had poop in it. They changed the room. The 2nd room was not the cleanest. Also breakfast was at 7-11am They said it was closed at 8am. Then at 10 am the breakfast was open? At that time only one of my kids wanted food. I was so upset. Will not come here again.

Staff were friendly and the location was great. My air conditioner rattled and made noise any time it turned on. I asked the front desk to have someone look at it after the first night but it continued to rattle all 3 nights I was there. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner…some mascara spots on the mirror and spots elsewhere. Otherwise it was a nice hotel.

If you’re staying in the STL area, don’t opt for the cheapest hotel downtown. We stayed here because it was one of the more affordable options and had last minute availability, but I would not stay here again. The pillows had mold, towels were stained, the bartender had a terrible attitude and it’s hard to feel safe walking the area around the hotel given its location. We Ubered everywhere, even if it was a few blocks away. Look elsewhere.

I checked in and my room wasn’t ready on time. Once it was I took the elevator up to my floor and the elevator broke for 10 minutes and started bouncing in a super concerning way while I was stuck in it with two other women. I called down to ask for a glass to pour my wine in so I didn’t have to drink out of a paper cup and it took them an hour and a half, I had two call twice more to remind them. They forgot to put conditioner in my bathroom. I went down to get it and none of the floors would call the elevator, and I had to walk up and down the floors to find one that would call the elevator. Then when I was back to the room I realized my ac was broken and its stuck at 77. This is not a super cheap hotel. I’m irked. They have not offered an apology or done anything to make up for any of it. I had been here for 5 hours when all this went down. the valets are nice as is the maintenance man, I think his name is Charles. I probably won't stay there again.

Booked a one night stay. The first room they put us in had stains all over the comforter of one bed and then something stuck on the comforter of the second bed. The staff was friendly and gave us a new room which was an upgraded room. In this room the shower did not drain at all and so after 30 seconds the shower basin was filled to the top and so we were not able to take a shower. Also the fridge was leaking and because of this there was a giant wet spot that was about 3 foot in diameter right in the middle of the floor.

Check in was a little wild but not necessarily their fault. Check in is at 4 and the whole town was sold out because of a concert that was starting at 4. Once we got checked in all was well. We turned the air down as it was hot and muggy in there, so that it would be cooled off once we got back. We got back many hours later and the room was more hot then than it was before we left. We called down to the front desk to let them know. They said they’d be right up. 20 mins later (now after midnight) no one had showed so I called again. He came and “fixed” it and brought a fan but it was SO HOT in there all night that we could not sleep at all. We were also supposed to get a corner room with a view that I had reserved months in advance and instead got quite the opposite. The manager “did me a solid” and gave me $25 back for the “difference” which was definitely not the difference in price when I reserved the room months ago. I paid over $600 for a room we couldn’t even be comfortable in because it was so hot. I would not recommend friends or family to stay at this location. For the highway robbery of the cost of the hotel vs what we received, I would definitely stay somewhere else next time we’re in town!

The food was terrible. The room was cold and thermostat didn’t work well. The rooms were nice. It was clean and I liked the lobby area for socialising. Most of the staff were lovely.

The area is awful, dilapidated and seemed unsafe. Bathroom had tile breaking, parking was not connected. Did not feel safe outside with the family.
