Lovely Historic Building, Good Location, room tiny
Carriage Way Inn has a good location in an old historic neighborhood. Near museums and restaurants. Free parking. Some St. Aug. streets are narrow and a little scary in the dark, because illumination can be low. (not because of crime) We chose a ground floor room to avoid steep stairs. Our room was charming but very cramped for space. No desk, only one night-table, no storage for toiletries, personal items, etc. in either the bathroom or bedroom. A few shelves and hooks will help a lot. Bed linens were lovely, room was clean, staff were friendly and helpful but the inn seemed understaffed.
Breakfast was good and coffee and cookies are available for guests, as well as soft drinks and wine.

We recently spent New Year's Eve at the Carriage Way Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn itself is steeped in history, which added a unique charm to our experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We especially appreciated the delicious and varied breakfast served each morning.
While our room offered a convenient location, it unfortunately faced both roadways. As light sleepers, we did find the noise from revelers throughout the night to be somewhat disruptive.
Despite this minor challenge, we highly recommend the Carriage Way Inn. The overall experience was fantastic, and we would gladly return in the future.

We were there during a busy time, and the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. But they were trying. The breakfast area was very crowded. The WiFi never worked in our room. It is a convenient location if you want to be in the middle of the old town area.

Surprisingly parking wasn’t difficult to find, everything else was very lovely aside from the cold weather! The Inn keeper was very kind and helpful and I can’t wait to reserve again!

We loved the location and the charm of the inn itself. Our only real snag came from two issues; checking in after 5 pm was not clear and somewhat difficult. And, the noise from outside our room was very noticeable!

The cottage we stayed in was extremely clean. The bed slept very good, and we were well-rested each morning. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. We had a wonderful experience at Carriage Way B&B.

Nice property but a bit of a task taking luggage upstairs. A bit of a musty smell in the shower and the water takes a while to heat up but overall ideally located and being able to park at the property is great as parking otherwise is a nightmare.
