哈納奴伊旅館和公寓(Hananui Lodge and Apartments)

Great Place, we made a late reservation and were treated very well indeed. Room was very spacious, light and airy with a 30' stroll to the beachside. The hosts were very helpful and gave us great directions and tips. The stroll to the shops and restaurants was less than 5 minutes. We will return.

This is a wonderful place to stay! Right on the waterfront. We stayed in the Boat House and highly recommend!! It’s quiet, has air con, like a little apartment! The owners were very friendly and professional! This place is centrally located to everything!

Well we arrived in one of the earths mortal paradises that is Russell, 2 days ago. Fortunately for us we booked Hannui Lodge ran by Nev and Cecelia, two absolutely wonderful people who cannot do enough for you. This is our first time in New Zealand and we wanted to come to one of the most historic places in the country and it doesn’t get more historic than the “Hell Hole” of the pacific (Do your research folks) ! We spent a few days in underwhelming downtown Auckland, loved Devonport,Waiheke Island and Ponsonby but they don’t get close to Russell or the accommodation afforded by Hannui. A path to the beach and a walk down the strand to superb restaurants and bars, your in the middle of everything stepping out of your room. We absolutely loved it here and really appreciated Nev and Cecelia, great down to earth people 👍

We were in annexe one block back from main building: not a problem as good sized room with balcony :don't think main part actually had a sea view . Safe parking in locked ground floor garage. Room was comfortable, good bed shower/kitchen tho you are never going to cook a banquet. Maybe 3 mins walk to beach front; maybe 5 to jetty for ferry across to Piahia.Plenty of restaurants in town, Duke of Marlborough a bit over rated, we had a good take away fish and chips from Seaside ( on corner of beachfront and main drag): also several Thai , a small supermarket and off-license. It was quiet when we were here in early Nov but apparently gets much busier later in season

Hananui Lodge and Apartments is the perfect place to stay in Russell. It's on the waterfront and beautifully maintained. The modern rooms are well-appointed, light, airy, and spacious. Plus, hosts Nev and Celina are warm, friendly, and helpful. I unreservedly recommend you stay there. I will if I return to Russell.

For location, you couldn't beat it, a few steps to the seashore, very close to all amenities and many restaurants so that you could have a drink and not take the car. However the actual accommodation we chose was the Boathouse attached to the apartments. Lovely comfy bed and exceptionally clean but too small to stay more than a couple of nights. It had a nice deck and if weather is good is lovely to sit out on and watch the world go by. Kitchenette was very small and very small table and chairs, with no real comfy chair to sit on. I would chose another apartment in the same complex if I returned there. Boathouse is not suitable for disabled guests but clean and tidy.

Went to have a look at a room before booking. Looked great. However, when booking owner quoted prices higher than what they advertised on website. When pointed this out owner said oh well honor that, then that changed to oh we can't honor that. But I work you a good price. I'll come back to you he says, as he throw our contact details and cc information he'd written down into the bin. Needless to say he didn't follow through on coming back and over the next hour increased all the room rates by nearly $400 per night. Dodgy scumbag behaviour. Completely lacking any integrity. Made for good conversation at the local RSA last night. Good luck!

Friendly and welcoming, Nev and Celina are the loveliest of hosts. Whether giving advice on local attractions and restaurants or our onward journey through NZ, they were happy to share their knowledge with us. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Our view took in the sunsets which capped off each day with its own unique blend of colours. We cannot recommend Hananui Lodge and Nev and Celina enough and look forward to the day that we get to visit them again.

Look no further! After having a mess up with another motel booking Hananui efficiently sorted us out. We were lucky because we ended up in the best spot in Russell! The kids could explore the waterfront while we relaxed looking out at the stunning view. We wandered up for a drink in front of the fire at The Duke then wandered down to pizza at Honi's Garden. Everything 2 mins away. Clean, charming, and extremely well-situated. Thank you.
