If you want to be near the Waiteti Stream Mouth for some trout fishing this is the place to stay. In fact it’s close to most of the other top trout stream mouths in the area all within just a short car drive away. Very welcoming and helpful host and our room was spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed too and peaceful surroundings. Full cooking facilities provided with nice large fridge freezer. Parking right outside our room and a beautiful view of the lake just across the quiet road. Highly recommend. We will return.

Pleasantly surprised by this find. Perfect for families who want space, a nice comfy bed, good amenities and the lake right across the road. The rooms are tired and dated, but they are extremely clean and tidy. Full kitchen, tramp and playground for the kids. No road noise and it’s away from all the crap filled motels in town! Manager and staff onsite were lovely.

Poor value for money. This motel needs some renovation and repair with cracked tiles, worn carpets, filthy grout and a general feeling of disrepair. All of this would be tolerable if the price matched but it did not. The only reason I didn't rate this lower was the genuine lakeside location.

Right from the start through to arrival and departure, our host Ken was amazing!! Attending a wedding, we had to make several booking changes along the way (approx 20 in our group in the end). Ken got us sorted and made us feel very welcome. The lodge was a perfect base - fabulous rooms and the lake view from the lounge and deck magical. We had several motel units as well - older style but very roomy and had full size kitchens. Thanks to Ken and the team for a great stay.
