Hotel la Mariposa

El personal del hotel mariposa muy amable, un espacio acogedor, bien acondicionado y muy recomendable, las actividades al aire libre son una buena opción allí, volveré cuando vuelva a estar por Murcia.

Bediening in restaurant vond alleen de Engelse gasten belangrijk. Onze drankjes werden helemaal niet gebracht. Hoofdmaaltijd duurde meer als een uur. Terwijl voor de kajak activiteit onze keus al was doorgegeven. Mijn partner had last van lage bloedsuiker en moest eten. Personeel was hiervan op de hoogte vooraf. Vooraf bestelde toetje was na 2 keer vragen wel prima. 20 minuten later vertrokken zonder piña ijs gegeten te hebben. De kajak activiteit was prima verzorgd. Alleen de lunch was een drama. Maaltijd was niet heel bijzonder. Erg gericht op Engelse gasten.

El hotel es muy acogedor, y las habitaciones son muy cómodas. Tom y Lucy son un encanto y te ofrecen mucha información acerca de que hacer por si no pudiste planificarte. Además tienen varias actividades que puedes hacer, tanto en el hotel como fuera. Recomendación personal: si vais a hacer la ruta hacia el embalse, coged mucha agua y una buena gorra. Por cierto, cuidado con Lucy, si no le caes bien, puedes acabar lleno de cerveza

Tom es muy amable, educado y servicial. Hicimos rafting y fue una experiencia genial. Lucy, la camarera es muy simpática y alegre. Hemos estado fenomenal,todo limpio y la comida muy buena. Recomendable!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this friendly and welcoming rural hotel The en suite rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, the owner and staff were helpful and attentive, the food for our evening meal was delicious and when the waitress noted that one of our shark steaks was smaller than the others', she had asked the kitchen to prepare another one without being prompted! The hotel was quiet and only about half full, it being prior to the busier summer season, but other guests were friendly as were a few locals who popped in for drinks on their way home from work. The hotel is perfectly situated in the tiny hamlet of Gebas giving immediate access to one of the best walks in the Sierra Espuna to and back from El Berro through the pine covered hills which incorporates a section of walking through an abandoned railway cutting and tunnel.

What happened to a once wonderful thriving Hotel especially for British.. Overnight stay on 13/04/2024. No other guests at all. Only my partner and me. Menu only in Spanish via an App! Our server/waitress, Maria, was great. TV inaccessible in English. Staff spoke Spanish only. Bar shut at 9pm. Really sorry this beautiful rustic hotel is in steep decline. Booking only on websites. No direct communication. Terrible, terrible…. Visited many times. This was the last. !

My father lives in Spain and treated me to a morning’s quad biking (led by the friendly - and very patient! - Gavin) followed by a fabulous lunch. What an amazing place! The scenery is breath taking, the quad biking is thrilling (I was a first timer and Gavin took great care to make me feel safe!), the food is gorgeous, and the service is friendly. No complaints - would highly recommend.

It’s so worth the drive into the mountain range to get to this beautiful hotel and restaurant . We’ve visited several times and stayed over the years and it really is the most friendly place. The food is freshly cooked, staff sit down and chat with you and the setting is outstanding . Highly highly recommend

A quirky place to stay right on the edge of the Sierra Espuna with a fantastic walk to an outlook. Stunning scenery all around. Sam and her team are lovely and the food was excellent, a nice change from the tapas world of Seville for past 3 months! We were the only ones there and were very well looked after for two nights, including our dog. Thank you!
