圓頂飯店(Dome Hotel)

We booked the Dome Hotel for a weekend break and stayed in their Deluxe Suite Room 301 on a sunny weekend. We arrived earlier than check in so were fully expecting to be told to come back later, however, Daniel, (I'm semi confident that was his name, working on the 9th June) was an absolute star, he gave us good recommendations for the area in general along with a map, provided tasty complimentary drinks (which is no small feat for my "slightly" picky other half), and set us up with a reservation at 3 Pavaru Restorans, which was an excellent restaurant with quality food and presentation. Very impressed with his service in particular. The room was immaculately presented, with a small study type area in the entry, leading into a large bedroom with a comfortable Super King (6 foot) bed, quality sheets at the right tog for the temperature. Wooden floors throughout with a couple of neatly positioned rugs and a warm quality Bluetooth speaker perfect for your Spotify playlist. The bathroom had a double sink, bidet and a large bath/shower combo with lovely, mango scented complimentary shower gel and shampoo. Windows open out to the quiet, cobbled street below with a view to a church spire. Overall, the Dome Hotel set the tone for a wonderful weekend in Latvia. We will certainly be back to Riga and the Dome Hotel in the future.

Really impressed with this hotel located in old town Riga. The rooms were very well decorated - I took pictures of how they did the furniture and fixtures in my room. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff greeted us when we arrived and were kind enough to answer all of our questions about where we could go out on a Monday night (an impossibly challenging task I've since found). I was even given help on how to mail the letter I forgot to mail in Stockholm before I left thanks to the front desk staff. Thank you guys! The experience was amazing and I want to give you all hugs.

Hôtel exceptionnel tant par son emplacement dans la vieille ville de Riga que par la qualité optimale des prestations. Excellent petit déjeuner et très belle Suite et chambres. Personnel de réception très sympathique. Mieux qu'un 5 étoiles de grande chaîne hôtelière !

Fabulous Hotel very friendly staff. Offered a glass of prosecco and a beer on arrival such a nice welcome! Very comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent location just off main square in a quiet street. Service on rooftop bar not great only downfall!

Boutique charming hotel which did not disappoint. Impeccable service from front, restaurant, room service. Only 15 rooms, attention to detail is exemplary. Location is central, rooms are good size and tastefully furnished. We were glad we booked this, cutting short our stay at Pullman next door.

Smart, discreet and stylish small hotel situated down a quiet side street and only a few minutes walk from the old town centre. In excellent condition throughout, no signs of wear or tear whatsoever. The Dome has just 15 rooms in total , and ours was a very well presented deluxe suite located at the very top of the building, just across from the rooftop bar and terrace (which was under refurbishment during our stay). In fact, we were so high up that our room was basically a converted loft with one side of exposed rafters forming an integral part of the design. Our bedroom area was at one end of the L-shaped room, with a lounge area at the other and a sort of hallway under the aforementioned rafters connecting the two. Due to the very efficient glazing and elevated position, we didn't hear any external noise during our stay. As the bed was so comfortable too, getting a good night's sleep was not a problem here. Decor was a pleasing mix of exposed brickwork and limed oak fittings with carpeting throughout. Plenty of storage and wardrobe space in a capacious, but somewhat MFI-styled, unit in the sleeping area. Quite tempted to try and adjust the ill-fitting unit door that scraped across the carpet but learned to live with it. All the usual stuff that you would expect in a decent hotel was in situ, although it was slightly odd that the climate control was operated remotely by Reception thus rendering the room thermostat redundant. Our only real gripe about the facilities involved the bathroom with its useless shower screen at one end of the very deep bath tub. These things are usually too low to deal with splashback from the top of anyone tall (I'm over 6 ft), and they never form a decent seal with the side of the tub. Certainly the case here, and by the end of our stay the floor was so awash that extra towels were requested to assist with mopping up. And that's why most punters prefer separate showers. Everything else in there was fine. Plenty of tops, a big mirror, and a very efficient hairdryer with nozzle. Breakfast was taken in the small, rather intimate restaurant, interesting for its vaulted ceiling and subtle decor. We had to pre-order the first two days (no idea why) and then experienced a buffet for the rest of the stay. Certainly not a massive feast; no tables groaning under the weight of a huge variety of choice here. More a delicate focused selection of basic items to match the number of guests in residence with a few options cooked to order. And, strangely, no bread. I had perfectly acceptable eggs benedict most mornings, and some pastries too. Never any problem getting lattes and refills as required. Staffed by earnest and conscientious young ladies who ran the place most efficiently. Special mention to the staff on reception, too. Friendly, helpful and always happy to stop for a chat or to recommend restaurants and places to go. We didn't feel the need to use the hotel's restaurant; plenty of options nearby plus many good

The whole experience. The staff were wonderful, the hotel was so lovely with luxury rooms. The breakfast was delicious and so much choice. The hotel was in a great setting and walking distance to all sites. We got a bus from the airport to Rig €2 and the stop was about 20 minute walk to the hotel. Loved my visit to this lovely city and the people were so lovely

Great place. A small boutique hotel with attention to detail. Breakfast was so luxurious we decided to book the tasting menu for dinner. Lovely rooms. Glass of prosecco on arrival. would definitely recommend
