The main building displays all the lovely features and charm of Georgian architecture and interiors. The newer accommodation has modern conveniences with elegant decor. The food is flavourful and service had a lovely balance between professionalism and friendliness. The spacious grounds, wine tasting at Pooley winery and bikes combine to make this a special experience.

Spent our last night in Hobart here. It was a lovely place to stay. Room was excellent and the attention to details was wonderful. The common rooms were all lovely with a fantastic kitchen area where you could choose from a wide range of breakfast foods and also have tea and cake in the afternoon. The dinner was wonderful and we loved our wine tasting over the road at Pooleys. Would highly recommend. Huge thank you to the very friendly staff too.

I had an absolutely incredible experience during my stay in Tasmania. The staff and owners were amazing, going above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Every aspect of my stay was exceptional, from the beautiful grounds to the delicious food. The morning breakfast and 5-star quality dinner were a treat, and the room had all the well-curated amenities one could ever want. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it as a must-stay place when visiting Tasmania! 😄🌟

Great stay - lovely Georgian h House with most of the rooms in the old Stables section at the back. Rooms are beautifully fitted out with wonderful beds. Only suggestion would be a range of pillows - not all the same as they were a bit firm. Lovely toiletries. Breakfast is served in the kitchen/conservatory and is a a lovely buffet. Excellent coffee and staff are very attentive. We had dinner there as well - the food is very good and some lovely Pooley wines are available. Highly recommended.

Beautiful atmosphere has been created through fabulous work & renovation over the years. We returned to Prospect 37 years after staying here on our honeymoon. The house and grounds have been lifted to another level of comfort and relaxation. The staff are wonderful snd very attentive without being obvious. We enjoyed a mini tour of the convict cellar - such an incredible space and lends itself to very special occasions. Hope we don’t leave it another 37 years before we are back.

WOW!! How can I sum up what an absolutely amazing stay my wife and I had at Prospect House. It was everything you could imagine from a 6 star hotel. Our room was beautiful with so many small details that were executed perfectly. From the tea bags, to the milk, to the underfloor heating to the luxurious bedding to the super comfy bed. We couldn't have hoped for more in our room. The we went outside to the stunning grounds which are so well manicured that my wife and I walked around admiring the location and beauty of nature. We then have to thank David for making us feel like royalty. The way he greeted us and cared for us made us feel so special. Nothing was too much bother, whether it was setting us up in a private drawing room and bringing drinks to us or his wonderful tour or our superb meal. The to breakfast where we were treated to the best brekky we have had in a long time. The granola was to die for. My wife was excited to go across the road to Pooley's for a wine tasting. Next time we visit, and we definitely will, we would love to stay there for multiple nights to truly enjoy the entire royalty feeling we were treated to. To the entire team at Prospect House you are amazing and I would, and have, recommended this hotel to anybody and everybody if you truly want to be spoilt. Lesley and I will definitely see you again SOON!

Wow. Prospect House is a home away from home. Located in Richmond, across the road from Pooley Wines makes one wish they lived there permanently. Our room was yet again nothing left to want. Milk of your choice in the fridge, heated flooring in the bathroom and toilet. Super comfortable beds with luxurious bedding. Mood lighting and not forgetting those gardens to wander around. David’s attention to detail on arrival as well as our host at dinner. Dinner at Prospect House is better than most 5 star restaurants. Kylie our breakfast host was yet again bubbling with personality and greeted us each morning like family. Thankyou for another memorable stay.

Beautiful setting. Everything was immaculate. Great service and quality of food as well. A credit to the Richmond region! My wife and I loved the short break. Great proximity to Pooley’s Wine too. Loved it!

Can't recommend this gorgeous property enough ! I recently stayed with my partner for a suprise getaway that culminated in a proposal and cant think of a more perfect place for this. Thankyou to the entire team at Prospect House for such a flawless weekend that I will never forget and making your beautiful property part of our history. Thankyou again ! See you in 12 months !
