Staff were extremely helpful with tourist information and wayfinding. When our converter for electrical equipment was not functioning- the team sold us one ! Very convenient when we all rely on cell phones and charging them is a necessity. Great staff and delicious breakfast on site. I would definitely return to this hotel!

6 We chose the Hotel Reykjavik because of its central Reykjavik location. And it was spot on --- within walking distance to nearly everything! The standard room is very, very small -- so it is not a place to spend much time. The lobby however is OK, but it too is crowded because no one spends time in the room. The other comment we have is the rooms are very warm -- ALL of the time ! They are heated thermally and it was not fun to sleep in such a hot room. We had the one window open as far as possible, but it did not help much. The staff is excellent and very helpful. And the breakfast is Great !

Slippage is Not fun! Everything but one was great! The bed was actually two singles pushed together but not lashed. They came apart and i slipped down between them at the most opportune time. Not funny!

The position of this hotel is excellent, particularly if you are going to go out on trips as a pick-up point for most companies is literally a minute away! Staff are very friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the hotel is aiming to be more eco-friendly but I have to say that that I didn't really like the 'opt in ' aspect of house keeping - nothing would be done in your room unless you specifically asked for it by a particular time the day before. Presumably things like toilet paper wouldn't be topped up - I'm glad I didn't have to go and ask for more! I wasn't staying too long and felt guilty about asking for cleaning etc.and therefore didn't have anything done. With hindsight I would have asked for my room to be cleaned on alternate days when I checked in. I much prefer an 'opt out' system - for example putting towels in the bath if you want them replaced.
