B14旅舍(B14 Hostel)

Guy and girl working inside here are good people doing their best. Premises are good But. WARNING!!!!: the owner is horrible. She has really bad business manners, generally puts her clients in very bad monetary situations sometimes (check here and TripAdvisor for these reviews and you won't choose to book here I'm sure, I wish I had done that) Om my arrival day I was locked out at 2.30 am because the hotel didn't send the entry code to me and THERE WAS NO EMERGENCY NUMBER TO CALL. If says on the website after 21.00 you check in with a code. But no code in my email. I had to pay over 200€ total extra to go to another room, by taxi. Since I had an E-sim I could Google for a taxi and call via Skype luckily because the streets were empty and no public wifis. Standing in arctic winds alone in Iceland! All the hotel's fault. She tries to tell me I should have emailed them about a late arrival which there was NO INFO about in the confirmation and generally just blames me for the whole situation when clearly its the fault of the hostel. Horrible owner. She could have given me a refund for the first night as I politely asked but she refuses and simply blames me and *******. Horrible manners not caring about anything except some 50€ for 1 night Please use your money better and book B47 bus hostel instead-much better people working there, perfect for all excursions and transfers etc. Maria in B14 does not take care of the guests if something happens so better to go to a different place to avoid being treated horribly losing your money. So go to B47 instead.

Arrived to this hostel that is outside of the city center only to find that the bunk I was assigned was dirty and/or still in use! No one on site to sort out the issue and owner refused a refund. I was forced to find another last minute accommodation.

Une auberge de jeunesse difficile à trouver, cela donne l'impression d'être caché. Les espaces, surtout dans les chambres, ne sont pas très étendues, et même si l'établissement en général est propre, mon lit n'était pas net, il y avait quelques poils. Les lits superposés sont presque en touchant le plafond, et le lit ne permet pas un bon sommeil. Concernant le check-in, selon ******* l'heure d'arrivée pouvait être à 14h, j'étais là quelques minutes plus tard mais je n'ai pas reçu le digicode pour entrer. Au téléphone, une dame pas du tout proactive, m'a dit que le code arrive toujours dans ma boîte e-mail, mais qu'elle va me l'envoyer par SMS, mais cela jamais a eu lieu, et j'ai pas recu le code par e-mail sinon après 16h. Une personne gentille qui travaille là m'a permit d'entrer et de me donner la chambre, merci à lui. L'hôtel a des toilettes et salles de bain séparés (ce qui un français peut aimer) et une cuisine où on peut se cuisiner et garder la nourriture. Emplacement très éloignée du centre et des points intéressantes de Reykjavik.

I came to B-14 from a partial hike on the hut-to-hut Laugevegur Hiking Trail. I needed something economical and available for the same night. As a mature female traveling alone, I figured if I could stay in trail huts, I could stay in a hostel. I was super pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming, friendly, very clean and comfortable accommodation. I slept better than I had in a few nights! I would definitely recommend this hostel to others.

- A bit out of the way - Kitchen and common space was large and useful - Internet was good - Quiet area - Seems safe. - Lots of parking - Rooms were well sorted but no place to store bags. - Curtains are a nice touch. - All beds were squeaky. Anytime anyone rolls over the whole place wakes up. - Only two showers and they are gross. Should be cleaned throughout the day. - Price is higher then what it should be and for what's around in rek - no soap for hands in washroom and wastebaskets overflowing by 9pm - extra beds in the middle of the room to trip over. - beds don't have sheets just one cover - the no reception thing isn't a big deal. That's where things are heading It is bare minimum even for a hostel

I was a little bit disappointing I was left outside without a key or a code to get in, but after one night here I extended my stay three more nights because it's so clean and so immaculate but it's actually nicer than some hotels I've stayed at. I had a 12 bunk room and I only had to share it with one other person. Very clean, and extremely luxurious, which, for a hostel, is basically unheard of

Great staff. Really well kitted out shared kitchen. Clean and mellow atmosphere. Convenient location.
