阿斯科特飯店(Ascot Hotel)

Ruime, lichte kamer voorzien van gratis minibar, zithoekje met tafel en twee stoelen en klein bureau met stoel. Veel stroompunten voor opladen en gebruik apparatuur. Goede wifi. Comfortabel 2-pers. bed (wel relatief smal). Badkamer beetje krap maar zeer schoon. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid met enorme keuze van verse broodsoorten en beleg, vers fruit, yoghurt enz. enz. Jammer alleen dat ontbijt officieel pas vanaf 8 uur s'morgens open is in het weekend. Gezien het feit dat de ontbijtzaal op zaterdag en zondag ochtend al ruim voor half acht begon vol te lopen met hotelgasten is er duidelijk behoefte aan een iets vroeger ontbijt mogelijkheid. T****e minpuntje is het "rokershok" aan de achterzijde van het gebouw. Daar werd laat op de avond af en toe luid gelachen en gepraat waarvan wij op de t****e etage wakker werden.

Goed hotel voor zakelijke overnachting. Jammer dat er een airco ontbreekt. Bedden en sanitair goed, uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Dusche hatte zu wenig Druck. Getränke auf den Zimmern kostenlos 😁

I came to Remscheid for a wedding and although the Ascot Hotel is a nice hotel in itself (clean, nice rooms, good breakfast choice.) I found the customer service disappointing. On the day I checked in I was told there was no in-house restaurant so if I wanted something to eat they “couldn’t help”. Then on Sunday morning I asked if I could book a taxi and I got a blunt “no” in response. When I asked why, the lady in reception said “oh there are no taxis around today” then when I asked if I could get an Uber they said, “no, there is no Uber out here.” I found the staff to be very unhelpful and they were very clear that it was my problem and not for them to resolve. Later that evening I thought I would order some wine and snacks from the bar menu but they had shut so I had to get a pizza delivery to the hotel. Then when I got up the following morning at 9:15 am they said breakfast was over (which I thought was rather early to finish) and then they said, “okay go sit and just take what you want”. Which, again, felt rude and unhelpful. Finally, I asked if they did currency exchange as they said they did in their hotel handbook but I was told, bluntly, by the reception team that I would have to go to a bank. No helpful suggestions, no advice on where I could find a bank or currency exchange, just clear communication that it wasn’t their problem and I needed to resolve it by myself. All in all, I felt that for a 4 star hotel there should have been a higher level of service and a desire to help customers more. Especially when they are prepared to pay it.

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und bekamen ein sehr schönes Zimmer für uns und unseren Hund.  Toller und freundlicher Service. Moderne und saubere Zimmer,mit einem schönem großen Bad. Im Zimmer befindet sich eine kostenlose Minibar (1 Bier 0.3l , 1 Bier 0.5l , 1 Wasser, ) Nespresso (und weitere soft Getränke) Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichlich, sehr gute Auswahl. Die Parkplätze vor der Tür.  Ein sehr schönes Hotel.

Modernes Zimmer. Sehr, sehr leckeres Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Das Interieur ist hochwertig ausgestattet. Handtücher mit eingesticktem Namen habe ich schon sehr lange nicht mehr gesehen. Und auch sonst haben die Details gepasst. Die vier Sterne sind berechtigt.

Vi havde blot en kort overnatning. Vi kom efter receptionens åbningstid, men vi havde fået en kode og en beskrivelse af, hvor nøglen lå. Det fungerede fint. Fint værelse, stort badeværelse og god morgenmad.
