We came to go to a family funeral and were really pleased to have our room upgraded. However the broken blind which looked mouldy, the mouse trap visible to customers behind the coffee machine at breakfast, the overpriced coffee from a machine when a proper coffee machine was turned on and just not used, did not add any further enjoyment to this.
The food was good and the staff really tried to be helpful and were really polite, but the stench in the corridor from what we were told was having the carpet cleaned added to the overall experience.
I then had a look at floor map in the room in case of a fire and even the layout of our room was wrong, which is a bit worrying.
The staff really tried but not being able to contact Mercure on their website easily has led to this being put on here which isn't fair to the demotivated staff who tried their best.
