卡瑟納隆達精品飯店和華麗公寓(La Casona de la Ronda Hotel Boutique & Luxury Apartments)

Cet hôtel qui a pignon sur la rue la plus ancienne de Quito a lui aussi un cachet qui nous ramène au 18e siècle mais avec un confort bien moderne. Boiseries exotiques, vaste aire commune et salle à manger avec murs épais de pierre. Chambre spacieuse et lit gigantesque bien confortable, salle de bain moderne, le tout bien propre. Fenêtres à volets, armoire antique bien conservée donnent cette touche qui rappelle qu’on est bien dans un bâtiment patrimonial. Même si on est en plein dans le centre historique, nous n’avons pas été incommodés dans notre sommeil. Tout devient silencieux vers 22 h. Petit-déjeuner sous forme buffet avec possibilité d’avoir des œufs cuits à notre goût. Jus frais, fruits à volonté, céréales, yogourt et autres aliments complètent le choix. Nous avons aussi mangé une pizza un soir et elle était bonne. À la tombée du jour, il vaut mieux circuler en taxi ou rentrer à l’hôtel. Le coin n’est pas totalement sécuritaire le soir. Par contre, le jour, nous l’avons jamais été incommodés et cleat bien plaisant de pouvoir circuler à pied dans le centre historique. Accueil des employés est bien acceptable.

This is an excellent hotel, beautiful on the inside, great and helpful staff. For us it was even better because we speak little Spanish and the staff had very good English. The room was well appointed, the bed very comfy and the bathroom perfect. Not that we are dirty, but the room was always spotless when we came back to it. The restaurant serves very good and reasonably priced food, the empanadas are worth a try, as is the lamb stew. The location of the hotel is perfect for wandering the historic centre only 10 minutes or so to Independence and not much further to the Basilica. Finally, the hotel offers an airport pickup, which is very useful, the driver was there waiting for us and took us straight to the hotel.

If one wants to step back in time one could stay at La Casona De La Ronda, which is housed in a 18th century colonial style building in the Historic Center of Quito on one of its most picturesque streets. A beautifully restored interior with a patio welcomes you as you enter, this is where breakfast is served daily, a lounge area is also on the first floor, which has sofas which make it a nice place to sit have some coffee, relax a bit, there is also an small outdoor patio with a bar to enjoy. There is also a mirador (viewpoint) and lounge area on the top floor, which we briefly spent some time in. The mirador offers nice views of La Virgen del panecillo and the local area. We were welcomed by the hotel security guard and reception, both of whom helped us to our room with our luggage. Just as a note, the hotel does not have an elevator, this is no issue for us but keep in mind if you have any mobility issues. All employees of the hotel we dealt with during our stay were courteous and friendly. Those who work at reception do speak English. They were extremely helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport when we checked out, especially since it was early in the morning. Our room was a "patio room" meaning it faces the aforementioned backyard patio. The room was quiet, large, and clean. It has a large king-sized bed, which was comfortable to sleep in, all linens, towels and the such were clean and also comfortable , the bed was made daily (as is done so unless requested otherwise) and the towels changed frequently. The area is very lively Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, with many local restaurants and bars nearby. On other days of the week the area is very quiet with hardly anyone around. All of Quito's Cento Historico is within easy walking distance although there is a steep hill on Calle Guayaquil to reach Plaza Santo Domingo, overall the location is great for exploring the historic center. We opted for the included breakfast, it consisted of some fresh cut fruits, croissants and eggs if so desired, we were so full by eating the fruit and croissants that we never tried the eggs, that being said the fruits and croissants were always tasty and fresh. We truly really enjoyed our stay at La Casona De La Ronda, it is a unique hotel full of charm, history and pleasant staff.

Spacious, comfortable rooms, great location within walking distance of the old center. The hotel and rooms are wonderfully decorated. This hotel is kept super clean. The restaurant is reasonably priced. Good soups. Because it is on a walk street, taxis can only get you close. But hotel staff will help with luggage arriving and departing. (Only one minor complaint: the $40 airport transfer is overpriced.)

This excellent small and charming hotel, which has a very good restaurant, is ideal to explore the beautiful colonial core of Quito. Everything worth seeing in within a few blocks from the hotel. Staff is very friendly and professional.

Este pequeño boutique hotel es ideal para conocer el centro histórico. Una antigua casona convertida en un hermoso hotel donde el personal es muy atento y servicial te hacen sentir como en casa. Mi único problema fue que las camas eran un poco incómodas. Pero el servicio recibido fue excelente y la comida en el restaurante solo para huéspedes fue muy buena. Muy recomendado!!!!

My second time in Quito and loved this property so much the first time I decided to stay again. Like the fact they have a cute little restaurant in the cellar and the service is exceptional. Rooms are clean and big located very close to the main Square and you can walk easily to the goal church.
