藍色山峰公寓(Blue Peaks Apartments)

Was booked in for 3 nights but only stayed for two as office closes at 8pm and no response from shyer hours emergency number. Would have got 5 stars if manager had rung enquiring if I was still coming and explained key system. However the apartment was well appointed and nice and quiet. The things that I liked about this accommodation was its proximity to the city centre (walkable to everywhere), the well equipped kitchen which we used to cook several meals, the 2 bathrooms included in the 2 bedroom apartment and the fact there was a washer and dryer. The apartment building itself is quite 'higgle-piggle'. Lots of stairs and we felt quite overlooked wherever we were. The balconies are all right next to one and other and if others are out there it feels quite awkward as you are about 3 meters from the neighbours conversations. Both bedrooms backed onto a walkway to other peoples apartments which resulted in loud voices straight past where we were all sleeping early in the morning and late at night when others were coming and going. If the blinds were open at all everyone could see straight into the bedroom. The apartment was also extremely hot in the afternoons with no fans or air con supplied (on day 2 we did request a fan and it was promptly brought to us). But one small pedestal fan really didn't help for 5 people. There was also A LOT of partying going on while we were there... it was the week after Christmas so i get people are celebrating but with 3 young kids it was VERY noisy. There is no onsite reception and the offsite reception is only in the day so we really just had to suffer through screaming and swearing etc for hours of the night. Overall, our stay was mostly fine and if i didnt have small kids I probably would have rated it better but for a family stay I would personally choose somewhere else in the future.

Property was spacious and well appointed. It is well positioned for an easy walk into the town. The only negative was that on a sunny day, the property became very hot and stuffy and the air conditioning unit was inadequate.

Stayed here for 4 nights in a two bedroom apartment. Super warm and sunny, all the amenities that you might need (full kitchen, two bathrooms, full laundry). There was even a spare bed in the lounge that we used and was apparently quite comfy. Balcony was lovely and sunny and well equipped. Gardens across the road and a short (but steep) walk to the edge of town. Location is a little noisy but is probably nothing compared to central Queenstown and it was away from all of the roadworks. Bathroom fans are super loud outside the second bedroom (would set off our baby monitor every time - sounded like a truck sitting outside the door). Lots of steps to the apartment we were in but the view was lovely (could see up towards the gondolas) and our carpark was in a weird location but it was safe and off the road.

Spacious family apartment. Warm. Close to cbd.

Positives: We love the location of Blue Peaks. The units are spacious and reasonably clean. Negatives: Check in was late as they were late cleaning our unit and there was still soap and toiletries packets left in the shower from the previous people. Bath and shower also a bit mouldy. They give you internet codes to use and you have to walk to reception to get more. Internet connection really variable. Ok some days and others it’s cutting out every few minutes. Beds are unsupportive with terrible partner disturbance. Overall we would stay again for the location and general condition of the unit.

Got good view from the room. Close to the beach and city centre. Walking distance to Skyline.
