When we arrived, the front desk staff informed us that, due to a staffing shortage, the hotel locks its doors at 22:00—essentially a curfew, which felt absurd. We refused, finding this policy completely unacceptable. The staff then explained that they used to leave the back gate open, but stopped after a guest repeatedly brought “lady friends” at night (yes, really). After some reluctance, they agreed to unlock the back gate for us and showed us to our room.
The room was very small for the price, with mediocre cleanliness and absolutely no amenities—no soap, no towels, nothing. Needless to say, we would never recommend staying here. The Philippines has wonderful people and fantastic places to visit, but this overpriced hotel is not one of them. If they try to impose a curfew, just refuse. There are far better options out there!
