通戈礁旅舍(Hostal Tongo Reef)

From the moment we arrived at the Tongo Reef Hostel, I knew our stay in San Cristóbal would be exceptional. I traveled with my sister and niece, and we all instantly felt welcomed by the warmth of the owners, who treated us more like members of their own family than just guests. The hostel is located in a privileged position, just steps away from a charming beach inhabited by sea lions and their adorable pups. The proximity to this natural wonder added a magical touch to our stay. The rooms at Tongo Reef are a true haven of tranquility and cleanliness. Every corner of the place reflects the care and dedication of its owners in maintaining a neat and cozy environment. Additionally, the wifi worked perfectly throughout our visit, which was essential for sharing our experiences with friends and family. But what really distinguishes this hostel are its spectacular breakfasts. Each morning, we delighted in exquisitely prepared local dishes, full of flavor and love. It was a true immersion in the gastronomic culture of the Galápagos. Furthermore, the owners were incredibly helpful in offering us recommendations for exploring San Cristóbal and even other islands in the Galápagos. Their advice greatly enriched our adventure in the islands. In summary, Tongo Reef Hostel is not just a place to stay; it's a home away from home. If you're looking for an authentic, comfortable, and memorable experience in the Galápagos, this is undoubtedly the place to be. Esperaba mucho más por el precio que he pagado. El precio es de un 4 estrellas y en España no tendría ni 3. No es una estancia acogedora, ni en la decoración ni en el trato, y tampoco está bien ubicada. Casi todos los servicios en esta isla son claramente abusivos, y los lugareños no tienen la menor piedad con los turistas. Este es un hotel regentado por personas locales, que ya tienen estigmatizado ese proceder en todo lo que ofrecen (comidas, tours, ...). Les queda mucho que aprender, pero sin conciencia, lo tienen difícil.

Es un hostal bastante aceptable, lo mejor los desayunos que prepara una señora muy amable y atenta. Cuenta con WiFi y está muy cerca de la playa. Dispone de agua para poder consumir sin límite. La habitación está bastante limpia y tiene una pequeña terraza.

El propietario muy amable, te indica las diferentes playas y costos de transporte, la comida muy buena, personal de cocina muy atentos, volveré nuevamente me falto el tour 360 recomendable. Tuve muy mala experiencia con la aero linea Avianca, cobran por check in $10

Breakfast is included (eggs, toast, fruit, juice, coffee)- great to start the day on a full stomach. The area is a little noisy at night (there’s a club on the corner) and the neighborhood cats and dogs make a ruckus. But that seems to be an issue most places in town. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, good price… basics are covered!

Questo Hotel ha tutti i comfort, le stanze sono pulitissime, pulizia e cambio lenzuola e asciugamani giornalmente. Acqua calda perfetta, stanze ampie. La proprietaria é una donna fantastica che assieme al marito e ai suoi figli ha creato una struttura turistica accogliente sui 360 gradi 😉. Ti organizza dalla colazione ai tuor sicuri e divertiti. Hanno belle barche grandi e comode per i tour intorno alle isole e godono di esperienza marittima da tanti anni. Ho passato delle giornate meravigliose con loro. Consiglio vivamente La bella famiglia Tongo Reef... Grazie 🙏

Avoid at all costs if you can. They are disrespectful frauds. Booked a sea view room with breakfast, which the check-in lady confirmed. At breakfast, they refused saying our booking didn’t include it. Even after showing the email confirmation they still refused, saying we had booked a balcony room no breakfast, then proceeded to refuse us a room with a balcony. Worst of all they were incredibly patronizing, belligerent and disrespectful, calling us names like “clowns” on the ********** messaging service. There were many other issues including no hot water, noise all night (they live downstairs and were very loud with music and talking), neon lights outside our window, no ventilation, windows did not open, and filthy streets outside.
