State finally shut down the nasty mold invested motel. Thank you Lord. They would wake you at anytime of night to ask for rides to store. Go through personal property. Drink any alcohol and smoke your cigarettes. No privacy. Steal anything they could. Always remember, LEPRECHAUN. You will know when you see him. No breakfast, no pool, Cable never worked. No Internet. No elevator. Needed shower shoes to even walk around room. I have stayed I n over 300 motels due to my career. This worsted of of all. Next to Stanton iowa motel. Watch that thieving window creeping manager. BEWARE.

There were windows broken, the smell down the hall was nearly unbearable, no blankets, only sheets, much repair needed in the room, the faucet, the bathroom door handle (don’t get trapped), the fan in the bathroom, etc. The room served it’s purpose.

The rooms where dirty the hotel smells like a dog peed everywhere. The staff was super nice and helpful.

I needed to choose between sleeping in the car or there. Second the driveway in so rough not get low profile vehicle friendly. Just blah nothing good but not the worse place either

Stealing from owner. Then race week at Newton tried to charge me $700. No, coffee, no breakfast, no pool, no TV and harassed entire time I was here. To this day, no pool, no TV, nothing. Working on toilet everyday. To flush it. The creep creeping around your windows and sniffing your undies is a leprechaun who whittled his own teeth. Beware of splinters.He has ran off 2 guest in 3 days.

Water stains in toilet yikes, terrible...my key wouldn't work... battery bad in lock Price is good TV worked Smells absolutely terrible in hallway Only 1 other guest in hotel a big flag Normally would stay closer to Des Moines

So far this is the worst place I've ever stayed. Didn't cancel because disnt want to lose my money but geeezz... wouldn't recommend this to no one. Bed crew service, really dirty place, bathroom was nasty

I was on a business trip to Altoona,IA and decided to stay in Colfax INN off the 80 west highway Exit 155. I was offer an amazing welcome by the hotel manager Mr. Bob, and his family. They were very friendly, and down to earth nice people. I was really impressed by a very clean room, bathroom, towels, shower and comfortable big room. The room got everything I need to spend a comfortable quiet night in a king size bed, and the room was equipped with Frigidaire, Air Conditioning, Microwave Big sofa Perfect wall and table lightning Safe and secured Parking Swimming pool Kitchen and much more Next day I have decided to stay longer and I was offered a very competitive price.

This place should not even be allowed to be open. No Breakfast, Pool nonfunctional, elevator doesn’t work. Security doors were propped open with a rock because card access didn't work. Owner very unfriendly. Our room had black tar all over the floor and couch. We stayed only because there was no other place to go with Sprint Car Nationals going on. Why we were there as well.
