科尼爾波託西旅館(Hostal Colonial Potosi)

C'est un hôtel de caractère qui mérite le déplacement. Personnel très sympathique. Après il ne faut pas espérer trouver le niveau des étoiles européennes. De plus il est idéalement situé en plein centre ville de la ville ancienne.

L'hôtel est super beau. Il s'agit, comme son nom l'indique, d'une maison de type colonial qui est très bien entretenu. La chambre est petite mais confortable. Elle donne sur une court arrière ce qui la rend extrêmement tranquille. Pas de bruit de voiture et pas de chien qui aboie. On ne peut pas ajuster le chauffage mais il est performant, vous n'aurez pas froid. La douche aussi est chaude. La proximité du centre est un atout important. L'internet est frustrant. Il va et vient sans arrêt. Si on vous répond que "c'est comme ça en Bolivie" c'est faux... Bref, internet pas performant avec coupures. Le déjeuner peut aussi être améliorer. Des oeufs nous sont offert et l'ensemble du déjeuner est suffisant pour commencer la journée.

Uno de los lugares con temática más interesante para aloj**** en la ciudad de Potosi, ya que realmente se siente como un lugar de la época colonial, destacando principalmente la ubicación, ya que queda a unos pasos de la plaza central y la atención del personal ya que fueron realmente amables con nosotros; sobre todo el señor del turno de noche muy amable y educado. Sin duda un lugar a considerar si planean viajar a Potosi; el único punto a mejora tal vez sea el precio ya que si es un poco costoso; por lo demás todo bien.

Para complementar un buen descanso ideal qued**** aquí. La ubicación inmejorable a media cuadra de la Plaza principal, el estilo de la casona es de arquitectura colonial lo que te transporta a la época de la colonia en Potosí. La atención de excelente calidad, la habitación espaciosa, limpia y con una buena ducha caliente. El desayuno con diferentes masitas típicas estilo buffet. Con mi esposa tuvimos unas buenas noches de descanso luego de pasear por la ciudad, recomendable.

Potosí is Bolivia’s crown jewel, the city that perhaps best encapsulates the textured and often oppressive history of this country. And Hostal Colonial is one of the lesser diadems in that crown, located within 20 meters of the central square and thus as close to the historical sights as the visitor can get. The Colonial is indeed in a sprawling seigneurial residence of the colonial era, and rooms largely face on one or the other of the two interior patios. (My room was apparently an exception, facing out onto the street and angled down to provide a view into the main square.) The breakfast room faces onto the second of the interior patios, both of which feature agreeable fountains. The staff at the front desk, at whatever hour, is friendly and helpful. They spared me a fruitless walk to the purported site in Potosí of Bolivia’s postal system, warning me it had closed; and the desk clerk followed up by calling around for guidance as to whether there was any post office left anywhere in the city, for which it seems there is little demand. (Turns out the Correos de Bolivia has been reduced in Potosí to a single postal agent sitting at a desk in an office for private delivery companies, four blocks tediously uphill from the Hostal Colonial — but the cards I left with that agent were indeed delivered to the United States within 2 weeks, far faster than I would have expected.) As for the hotel guest’s quality of life, the bed was comfortable, the shower was separated from the bathroom’s other necessary facilities by a shower door, and the WiFi signal was strong and unwavering. The Colonial provides a solid, good-value stay in the heart of Potosí, and I would recommend it.

this hotel was one of the smaller ones on my tour of the Altiplano - I liked it a lot. Friendly staff at reception, small room, but well heated (very important in those cold nights). Convienient location, but no parking in front of hotel due to narrow streets in the colonial center.

This hotel is built in a charming colonial style with a nice inner courtyard. Another appreciated feature was the free oxygen that I could avail myself of after my one and only night there. Potosi is at 13,290 feet (4,050 meters) elevation, so consider that as you plan your trip in Bolivia. The receptionist staff were very helpful. The room was nice and clean, although the temperature was hard to get right by regulating the water-borne heaters. It got either too cold or too hot.
