Villa Dalu

Puh, wo soll man hier anfangen?! Für einen Preis von 550€/Nacht ist man einfach nur sprachlos und entsetzt zugleich. Wir sind als Paar in den letzten 10 Jahren in der ganzen Welt gereist und ich übertreibe nicht wenn ich schreibe dass wir noch nirgends ein schlechteres Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für über 500€ (!!!) pro Nacht bekommen haben. Die Betreiberin Carla ist sichtlich bemüht und dies beginnt schon vor der Anreise. Es wird versucht private Bootstouren zu vermitteln (für 2.000€/Tag), welche wir später am Strand für 500€ bekommen haben. Nachdem man auf solche „Angebote“ nicht reagiert kann man die Koffer (nicht wie versprochen von einem Porter) selbst von der Parkgarage zur Unterkunft tragen. Wo man wortwörtlich nun auch ankommt. Eine Unterkunft. Eine ganz bescheidene Unterkunft für 550€ pro Nacht. Dafür gibt es ein Zimmer mit einem einzigen kleinen Fenster (ohne Kippfunktion), kein Schrank (man lebt aus dem Koffer), ein Bad mit Schimmel und fehlenden Fugen, eine Dusche mit der Größe einer Wohnmobildusche, keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten für Badutensilien, ein Bad ohne Lüftung oder Fenster, einen röhrenden Kühlschrank am Zimmer der zusammen mit dem schnarchenden Nachbarn den Schlaf raubt (Schallschutz quasi nicht vorhanden), einen Badspiegel der nur bis Körpergröße 160cm funktioniert, kein Ganzkörperspiegel und auch kein Schminkspiegel usw usw. Die Liste an Defiziten, welche in einer solchen Preiskategorie selbstverständlich sein müssen, wäre ellenlang. Was lobenswert zu erwähnen wäre sind die durchaus komfortablen Matratzen. Auf denen man (wenn es die sensible Akustik zulässt) sehr gut schläft. Apropos Schlaf: Ab 07.00 Uhr ist es mit dem Schlaf vorbei. Entweder sind die Zimmernachbarn bereits wach oder man hört Carla im direkt an die Zimmer angeschlossenen Küchen-Ess-Wohnzimmer das Frühstück anrichten. Das ist von einem für das Preissegment adäquaten Frühstücks soweit entfernt wie die Erde vom Mond. Wie erwähnt ist Carla sehr bemüht nur könnte sie ehrlich gesagt die Enttäuschung über ein derartiges Missverhältnis Preis-Leistung niemals kompensieren. Schauen Sie sich die Bilder an und entscheiden Sie selbst ob so 550€/Nacht aussehen. Grundsätzlich scheint es ohnehin ein großes Problem des Ortes zu sein, der abgesehen von der überaus erwähnenswerten Kulinarik nicht wirklich so besonders ist wie er in den sozialen Netzwerken dargestellt wird. Massivst überfüllt, totales Chaos und dazu oftmals verständlicherweise genervte Einheimische. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

Hotel localizado com vista para o cartão postal de positano, simplesmente linda. Café da manhã servido no pátio com direito a exuberante e magnifica paisagem. Perto do porto e da principal praia de positano. Como fica no alto tem vários restaurantes ao entorno.

Carla was amazing and helped us with everything we could have of possibly wanted to make Positano our best stop in Italy! We visited for our honeymoon and she surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco to enjoy as well as helped arrange a private sunset boat tour ! We definitely recommend Villa Dalu & Carla - they will not disappoint !!

We stayed at this villa for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely amazing and such an incredible time. This villa has a host and she takes care of all operations, her name is Carla she was amazing, a gem of a human to be honest. She was pleasant to organise and book with. She was resourceful she helped us from A to Z with reservations and any question we had about the area. She arranged transport to pick us up from our previous hotel as well as transport to bring us to our next hotel after our stay, she offered us restaurant ideas and her breakfasts in the morning was so delicious. This villa is perfectly placed in my opinion in order to access the beach, the shops and the restaurants. The room was very clean and always smelled amazing. The bed and bedding was comfy. I highly recommend this place if ever visiting Positano.

Me and my husband stayed at Villa Dalu for our ten year anniversary as well as the first time in visiting Positano and it was the best experience ever! You will not regret staying at this place. The location was walkable to everything, the host Carla was incredible, she was so helpful and kind. She had breakfast ready every morning she made the best pastries, it was awesome!

Villa Dalu was a beautiful location however the host, Carla, was extremely unwelcoming to our group. Unfortunately she negatively impacted our time in Positano due to various reasons such as giving us incorrect information regarding city tax, providing incorrect quotes for transfers and her overall demeanor when conversing with us. To top it off, once we checked out she sent an unknown man down to our group of females with a mobile phone to speak to her on the other end. She was screaming at us saying we owed more city tax even though we had confirmation in writing of the total prior to check out and left the amount accordingly. We believe this was because we did not leave her a tip. Once we checked out we raised our concerns with the owners of Villa Dalu regarding their host and they were completely dismissed. We felt extremely uncomfortable during the entirety of our stay at Villa Dalu. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere to ensure you have a positive experience while staying in Positano.

Finding an affordable stay in Positano in the area that Villa Dalu is located is almost impossible but I was so happy to find this hidden gem. While it’s a bit dated, the home was clean and has everything you need. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the patio is a wonderful area to relax. Above else, Carla really makes your stay amazing. She is helpful with recommendations and she even helped us organize our transposition to and from Napoli station and helped us snag some hard to get dinner reservations. Carla also prepares delicious breakfast every morning which you can enjoy out on the patio before starting your day. Sometimes it’s hard to tell on a map but the house is located very close to a lot of popular dining spots and bars and and right off the main road and main pedestrian area making it very easy to get to almost anywhere you need to go in Positano!

Carla is an incredible host and I will stay at Villa Dalu every time I come back to Positano. You will not find a better bed&breakfast. Excellent location, very safe, and Carla could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

beautiful property with a view of the harbor and very accessible to everything in Positano. Carla is amazing. She is like your family member looking out for you in Positano. She helped us with porter service and other tours. She makes amazing breakfast in the morning that gets the day started right.
