瓦努阿圖MG科科莫度假村

This is a basic hotel and is simple in nature. It is nice to have a sitting room. Everything seems to be showing its age and could use some fixing. The grounds, pool and rooms are aging. FYI- You can't swim in the lagoon.` The saving part of this place is the staff. They are lovely and so kind. If I were to stay again, it would be because of how friendly and helpful they where (especially Sabrina)

Quite a basic hotel, with very good food and very friendly staff. Maybe not as good value wise compared to some hotels in Port Vila, but the basic rooms are much cheaper, so probably represent good value. Position is really close to town and access to supermarket next door is ideal.

Staff made our stay very easy & enjoyable. Thanks to girls in front office & guys & girls in restaurant & security. Had to stay an extra 3 nights due to flight problems but staff handled it very well. Our room had a great view of Emten Lagoon from balcony. Food quality & choice needs improving though.

This resort has lush tropical gardens with wonderful spacious grounds situated on the lagoon. It is perfect for a budget friendly holiday for families with children. It has a great adventure playground and a fun water play area for kids. The lagoon has a lot of pink starfish which I found fascinating, unfortunately because of the Starfish you cannot swim in the lagoon, but the pool is fabulous & kept very clean. Rooms are basic, clean, good air conditioning, comfortable bed & our unit had a beautiful outlook of the lagoon. The restaurant food was good, there is also the bonus of a large Supermarket being located right next door from the resort where you can buy food from. We are a mature couple & thoroughly enjoyed our stay at MG Cocomo, the staff were very engaging & only too happy to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We had a horrible experience. Our trip to Vanuatu was wonderful. The only regret we have is staying at MG Cocomo. The hotel is under new management. The new management do not care about guest experience. The staff are wonderful. I have listed the issues with our stay. 1) The new management, to earn extra bucks, opened the pool to local public. The pool was filled with thrice the capacity. There was no room for hotel guests to enter the pool. Total chaotic scene. Seems as if we had come to stay at a theme park. No spot at the pool bar or restaurant for hotel guests as it is occupied by the local public visiting the pool. We ordered in room dining but we told it was a 2 hour wait as they were busy serving the local visitors. As fee paying hotel guests, we had to be just confined to our room as the hotel property was taken over by the local public. There were more people than should have been allowed in but the Chinese owner did not seem to be bothered. Unfortunately amidst this total chaos a young local boy drowned in the pool in front of our eyes. It was a traumatic experience for us witnessing the event, we were unable to sleep at night. 2) The sink was clogged and leaking. We raised the issue with the staff. They tried to fix it but it did not work. 3) Microwave did not work. 4) Telephone did not work and was disconnected. We had to walk to the reception each time to talk to someone. 5) The light in the room is very dim. Was very hard to see anything after sunset. We had to use the torch in our mobile phones to search for things in our bags as the room was poorly lit. We raised the issue with the owner but he ignored it. 7) The room has plantation blinds. There is no glass or fly-screen in the window. If you open the blinds, you cannot use the aircon. Not practical at all. Further, there are lizards, big spiders and other creepy crawlies outside the room. You cannot open the blinds otherwise your room will be full of insects. Two big lizards were in our room and crawled over our toothbrush etc. It was disgusting. A simple fly-screen could have solved this issue. The accommodation is not practical at all. 8) The food in the restaurant is horrible. The breakfast was OK. Giving two stars because the property is right next to a supermarket and bus stop. The property looks nice but is not practical and is not ready post Covid. Would not recommend staying here. Look elsewhere.

Nice welcome by friendly staff. Room had a lovely lagoon view. The room itself was basic, broken toilet seat & an uncomfortable bed. Pool was excellent. Very limited facilities with restaurant open until 8pm. Breakfast was supposed to be from 7am but arrived to find it closed with no one around. No one available at reception for an early morning checkout & to arrange transport to the airport.

Weren't staying here but came for dinner. Such great food - I had stuffed chicken (they didn't state what it was stuffed with but it turned out to be prawns) and my partner had a seafood platter. Lovely spot for dinner on the lagoon front.

Best Resort in Port villa..budget friendly. Nice atmosphere, good service. Close to airport, supermarket. Cleaning service 10/10 , staff were always ready to help. Good for families because small park and swimming pool available for kids too.
