The Heritage Park Hotel

We booked this hotel last minute due to another hotel cancelling us. The staff were very welcoming, extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel was very beautiful with a nice bar lounge area downstairs which stayed open until 1am. Our room was nice, although we had a room with a velux window so it felt very dark. We didn't have any view and didn't like that we had no window to open for fresh air. I think this was just unfortunate for us due to booking last minute and the hotel finding 4 rooms to accommodate us. Our friends who stayed had nice rooms with windows. We would definitely stay here again.

What the hotel lacked in amenities( a mini fridge in the room) it more than made up for with the service. The staff are amazing and went more than the extra mile to make our short stay amazing and comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is 30 minutes out of Cardiff, but very picturesque. Lots of parking available. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a 3 star but to me felt nothing less than a 5 star. Thank you for making our weekend get together extra memorable.

What a gem. Conveniently located fir the mining heritage site next door, comfy and clearly they’re doing some refurb work to make it even better. Good restaurant with very sensible pricing, comfy, clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Will be back !

I was unsatisfied with the hotel as the fire alarms went off 4:38 in the morning and the room I stayed in had no hot water

The reception staff were all great. They are very helpful and friendly. Especially Thanks for the handsome guy. He's so gentleman and cheerful. Also, two pretty ladies at the reception. The bedroom was Clean, Spacious and comfy. The breakfast was delicious. Free Parking.

Quick check in, friendly staff, comfortable room. Can see the ongoing improvements in way of updating tired decor which is positive.

There were some threadbare stair carpets and they could do with a vacuum cleaner with better suction. I had a clean cup in my room but a dirty saucer. The bathroom was mainly clean but there was a soap ring from the previous person's shower gel on the side of the bath. Bathroom products, tea / coffee, loo roll were all cheap basics. The guest WiFi didn't work, even after reception said they would reset it. The highlight was the breakfast, I chose the vegetarian option and it was great. Staff were also friendly

I didn't like the idea of being placed on the ground floor with an wide open window as a female travelling on my own. I was placed in a disabled access room which had a low pressure shower and the floor seems dirty. It's probably a thing for those type of rooms but I hate the idea of not being able to put the seat down after flushing. The hotel does offer food which I have had on several occasions (and it's decent) as well as a beautiful public pathway nearby to explore the valley in more detail.
