Absolute nightmare. Booked weeks in advance, received the confirmation number, prepaid, and it was non-refundable. I roll up to check in mid-afternoon on the appointed date (7/11/26), they say they have my confirmed reservation in their system but sorry we’re fully booked and have no room for you. I’ve been traveling for 30 years and have NEVER had a hotel fail to honor a reservation. *** did they think was going to happen when I got there? Spoke to the manager and their back up plan was to try to shift me to another hotel in Charlotte, but everything was booked out due to a concert and the only thing they could get for me was a terrible Inn near the airport where I had to move a table against the door at night for extra security (another first I’ve never done before). The whole thing was a complete debacle that ruined my trip. Bottom line - if there’s a risk a hotel won’t do the absolute basic thing required from them - honor a reservation - DO NOT STAY THERE.
