We have visited the La Siesta many times and have found that this hotel offers the best all round facilities in the area. The staff are always happy to help and a special mention to Jose in the pool bar who always remembers us which is a nice touch.

We stayed here in April 2022 and had a lovely experience with excellent food. The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Playa de Troya which is a nice swimming beach with decent waves for body surfing. The only issue with the location is that our roomed faced Hotel Troya which plays very loud music into the night. The facilities are very good. We stayed for a week in October 2024. The room was nice except that the shower leaked like a sieve and we had to mop the floor with the floor mat (wringing it out several times) to dry the slippery floor after each shower. The dining experience has really slipped. We stayed on an all inclusive basis. A few times, we had finished our meals before we could get a drink (even water). Although there was one excellent waiter, Orestes, who would take drink orders more quickly so we could have them with our meals. He was also delightfully jolly and friendly. Some food is cooked in front of the guests but the chefs are not ahead enough so there was invariably a long wait for that food. I suppose the really long wait for food gave time for drinks to arrive. I had some delicious calamari fried up but the chef was dripping juice from the raw calamari into the sauces (that were not being cooked) every time he transferred the squid across. The salsas roja and verde were delicious but should be avoided for this reason. If this is being done in front of the public, I would hate to see what is happening behind closed doors. On Mexican night, they served up chicken fajitas but it appears they had forgotten to cook the chicken before wrapping it up. The chicken in mine was raw. Fortunately I looked into the fajita before swallowing and spat it out. I still got diarrhoea and stomach cramps on our last day and my wife became ill with a fever, nausea and diarrhoea on the night of our return home. This was despite avoiding the salads and checking that our chicken was cooked. It is possible we got ill from another guest contaminating the buffet. We were going to book to return next year but the food has put us off.

I loved this hotel. Me and my boyfriend decided to go on a short holiday in half term and chose this hotel as it was relatively cheap whilst also being quite central in playa las americas. When we arrived the hotel is very clean. We got to our room and we had been given a double family room for the 2 of us. i didn’t book this so this was a nice surprise as we had a double balcony which looked over the sea and we could see the sunset. The bathroom was lovely and the rooms were very clean with huge beds, cleaned every day to a perfect standard. In the morning we had a buffet breakfast which was extensive and filled us up, the dinner buffet was also really nice and changed every night with fresh food also being made in front of you. The pool side had lots of chairs and we never struggled to get a seat, the pool was nice and a nice temperature. There was a bar near the pool with crisps and drinks and on the last day there was a pool party with music and rubber dingies which we both loved as it was some entertainment. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the beach and the main bars and we managed to walk to many different areas with no problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel can’t fault it

I am in the hotel,right now. Very disappointed! Yesterday I received a courtesy phone call about the room,I told them my problems. I can't believe this is the 4 star hotel. There is blood on the curtain and black hair all around the room, terrace. (We are blondes) Today we went out and expected a cleaner room, nothing changed. I would not recommended. I am giving 2 starts,because of the staff, they are nice.
