I received the most friendliest welcome of any place I have ever been to for work or pleasure. The whole property was spotless and extremely well maintained. The breakfast was exceptional. Unusual to get perfectly made porridge. As you may gather I thoroughly enjoy my stay 😊

We loved our stay at The Poplars! Scott and Nancy were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Their warm welcome was followed by delicious breakfasts and constant thoughtful attention. They helped with advice on local activities as well as making sure we had everything we needed (for example, early morning tea - I’m an early riser and, thankfully, so is Scott - packed breakfasts for our walks and so on). The house is beautiful, historic, comfortable (we had our best sleeps in Scotland here) and in an excellent location. The view from our room was breathtaking as it overlooks Pitlochry and the mountains. The Poplars is very close to the center of Pitlochry and so easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants. Without hesitation or reservation, we highly recommend The Poplars.

Returning to The Poplars for the 5th time in 6 years we were surprised to find ourselves the 1st guests for the new onwers - Scott & Nancy. We shoulnd't have been worried. Although doing things "their way" the initial experience was the high standards of friendliness, comfort, quality and good food are being maintained. Back in our favourite room (1) with views over the town and hills The Poplars is in a great location for seeing many parts of Scotland.

This is our 2nd time staying at Poplars Guest House in Pitlochry and everything about it was just as wonderful as last year. Lovely large room with great views. Large comfy bed, great en suite shower, delicious breakfast and the hosts are just great too. Situated in a very peaceful setting and yet just a few minutes walk from the town. You really couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We shall be back next time we visit Pitlochry.

We had a wonderful stay and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is fabulous being away from tourist traffic, but within easy walking distance of the downtown area. Highly recommended!

Très bien situé , Un belle chambre au calme dans une maison très bien décorée et très bien entretenue des hôtes vraiment charmants au petit soin Nathalie Jason sans oublier Amber … nous avons séjourné 3 nuits c était un excellent séjour vraiment a recommander ( clin d œil à Jason pour les excellentes chanterelles nous sommes toujours vivants ) bonne saison et prenez soin de vous

idéalement situé ! La chambre est franchement superbe; accueil chaleureux de notre hôte Nathalie qui a fait l'effort de communiquer en Français. Break fast extraordinaire ! Environnement naturel fabuleux ! Le conseil pour le restaurant par Nathalie était génial !!!! Nous recommandons le Victoria's restaurant. Cela restera le meilleur Guest house de notre séjour en Ecosse! séjour du 24/05/2022. Claude et Florence de Toulouse !

Nancy welcomed us like long lost friends and made us feel at home. A beautiful property, we stayed on the top floor overlooking the mountains and rooftops of Pitlochry. So many personal touches and the property is immaculate. The guest lounge is warm and inviting too! Our stay was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful and make sure you try the porridge with whiskey! Run, don’t walk.. a glorious guest house stay.

We stayed overnight en route to Skye and still managed a good walk and dinner in town ahead of a wonderful cooked breakfast. Would also be great as a base to explore the region. Wonderful welcome and the family room of a double with 2 singles adjoining through a door was a godsend for teenage kids. We loved it and will hopefully visit again.
