We always choose our hotels filtering our needs previuoly. I'm sure that we checked the private bathroom filter in the page of Booking. When we reached there, we were given a room at the highest level, through a horrible steepy and poorly lighted stair. Many old building in Amsterdam have this condition. After a few minutes in our room, the clerk knock our door and told us that he'd made a mistake and that our room was one level below. but the worse was that neither in the first room we were given nor in the new one, we COULDN'T FIND THE PRIVATE BATHROOM. !!! We asked for it, but the clerk told us that there wasn't any other room than that, and we had to share the bathroom with the people of the next room. We didn't like our experience in this hotel. We know that it's a one star hotel, we recognize that with the exception of the staircases, the premises are ok, but we STRONGLY WARN about the fact that there are rooms with private bathrooom, but most of them, have not. Summing up, we had a very poor experience with a hotel that could have been much better. With a strategically good location. remember, ask for private bathroom when booking the hotel
