Tired hotel in a great location. Limited parking, good food - beware of the seagulls.

Beautiful stay for my birthday surfing trip. My room was wonderful with views of the sea. The food and drinks in the restaurant were lovely and faultless. Helpful and friendly staff that took their time to serve you and didn’t rush the service. This was fantastic to see and is rare to find now. Hotel needs painting and the bedroom windows could be cleaned but apart from those minor decorative things it was wonderful. Pre book and pay for a parking space at the hotel as they are limited and chargeable.

Staff were amazing and really welcoming. The room and especially the bed was really comfortable and clean. Great central place to stay. Breakfast was very good for the price and a good choice of cotenental and cooked food.

Although we had a lovely time, I’m not sure whether I would stay here again. The room was extremely hot even though weather was only around 20 degrees so had to sleep with the window open which still didn’t really cool the room down so didn’t get one night of decent sleep. Every morning was very loud outside around 7am, Monday around 6am, bins were being emptied and was extremely loud for around half an hour-hour. Property is nice downstairs, view from beer garden is beautiful, I do feel the rooms are dated and could do with a little spruce up and maybe some air con or fans for the summer.

Nice room, ckean and tidy. You need to pre book parking (was not told or didnt get an enail to say this) so had to find side street or railway station to park.

Il personale è sempre stato disponibile e prodigo nell’aiutare. Abbiamo scoperto tardivamente il ristorante collegato perché non ci era chiaro la sua organizzazione. Ci dispiace perché l’ultima sera abbiamo provato ed era ottimo.

Would have been perfect, if there wasn’t a beep every 5 seconds (fire alarm system) Light shining into the room all night, and the fact that people could see into our room from outside! I suggested that a bit of frosting a quarter of the way up the window would solve this and would not affect the sea view.

A quaint Elizabethan era hotel located within walking distance of the Newquay train station. The hotel is right on the coastline which gives beautiful views of the water. I stayed in room 211 which had a partial ocean view, but it was really a pleasant experience. The windows can be opened all the way in that room, if you just bypass the child lock. The hotel rugs were stained, but other than the rugs, the hotel seemed quite clean and maintained.
