Enjoyed this newer hotel but it had several basic things missing that should be mentioned. First off, no glassware in the room (only paper cups) and no bar soap (not even small sample size). Should be an option there. The shower is new, however the water pressure is very low and sputtering out, unable to adjust or increase. For a property such as this these are misses. There also was a big blank space in the room where a picture needed to hang or another piece of furniture needed to be; you can get a sense that corners are being cut. The pool (no hot tub) was too cool and unheated. The upper rooftop area is nice but you are unable to bring your own drinks, bar service only (which, when asked at check-in the lady wasn't sure of). Bedding was average. No real sense of character from the property of being in wine country or Penticton, just very corporate and sterile, yet nice. Windows in room didn't open whatsoever. Attitude from the blond restaurant guy at the entrance for breakfast when we went checking out the menu. Property also is several blocks from the lake and restaurants which was fine for us but again not ideal for the price. We liked it but didn't love it.
Ss00nergirl21If you are visiting the friendly town of Penticton this is a fabulous place to stay. It is a super short walk to Skaha Lake and a short 8 min. drive to Okanagan Lake. The number one reason that makes this little gem so special is the owner Estelle who genuinely cares about the satisfaction of every guest. Estelle was so helpful to my family and her staff is very friendly as well. Our room was super clean and featured a separate bedroom with two beds for my older kids which they loved having all to themselves. We were in town for the first time for the Iron Man race so we had lots of stuff and it was great being able to park right in front of your door. The weather was nice and lots of people were out enjoying the common areas and lovely pool. This is the type of place you can chat with your neighbor if you want, or just do your own thing. We liked the food and vibe on the lake at Dragonboat Pub and also liked Salty's Beach House.
LLeeroy TravelsBest beachfront location. Super pet-friendly park right in front of the hotel. Great food choices and convenience stores around the area.
Room was very spacious, nice tv bed was awesome. Only downside was a clogged sink and back of building needs powerwash. Very easy check in and the location is near many restaurants and very close to lake. The price was very reasonable for the room and experience that is why I’ve stayed there 3 times and will continue to choose The Bowmont Motel
I had a reservation booked and somehow the 3rd party site didn't make a rule clear on the rate. With rockslide at Summerland,BC , my trip was thrown into limbo. To be crystal clear, i never got to Penticton, but Raj (sp) was very accommodating on my plans. I hope to be in Penticton for friends maybe in Oct. I will put this property as number one on my list to syay at, simply based on the cust service of Raj when I called direct. The hotel seemed good from ratings and this is very important for traveller's unfamiliar with property
