德爾雷公寓(Del Rey Apartments)

Nette, schone en ruime appartementen. Fijn groot zwembad erbij, rustig gelegen, supermarkt dichtbij. Voldoende bedjes aanwezig. Prima plek om te verbleven indien je een auto tot je beschikking hebt. Del Rey ligt niet op loopafstand van stranden nl. Aanrader!

Een heerlijk verblijf op een super ligging. Lekker centraal. Op 10 minuten wandelen ben je op Palm Beach en de uitgaans *****. Beste prijs kwaliteitverhouding op het eiland. Met een heerlijk eigen zwembad met waterval en jacuzzi. Zeer vriendelijke staff, ze proberen je echt een mooi verblijf te bieden en zijn zeer voorkomend. Verder is het afgesloten eigen parkeerterrein zeker een plus. De eventuele huurauto staat snachts dus op een afgesloten parkeerplaats. Al met al absoluut een aanrader als je naar Aruba komt. Een heerlijke plek om lekker tot rust te komen. Geen handdoeken langs het zwembad. Aardig personeel . De appartementen zijn ruim. De interieur is niet modern maar wel schoon en netjes. Op Aruba heb je wel een auto nodig. Dit was de t****e keer dat we hier waren .

First, I would like to acknowledge that the staff were very helpful. Beau is very knowledgeable about Aruba, and let me have a late checkout. There's also an older couple that run the place, and the man let me borrow his charging cable. The pool is also nice, and the air conditioning works. But, that's about as far as it goes for positives. This apartment complex is very very old, and it shows. To give you an idea, the locks on the doors use the traditional metal key, rather than a plastic electronic key. Between the peeling paint, rust, and everything else that indicates wear and tear, this is not the kind of property that you would want to take a nice date. But, that wasn't the real problem. The real issues were as follows: The location is perilous. There's only about 1 restaurant within walking distance, and a Chinese mini market. The road heading to these locations is filled with dangerous dogs, who growl, bark, snarl, and snap at anyone passing by. Thankfully most of them are behind fences or walls at these houses, otherwise I would probably have some bite marks at best. Everything else is over 2 miles away, which is way too far to walk given the searing heat of the island. Then there's the exceedingly loud noise. This place is next door to some kind of chicken coop. There are roosters and hens constantly crowing and squawking at all hours of the night, making it very difficult to sleep. I don't know why the island regulators would allow someone to build a chicken coop right next to a residence where people are living. Not healthy! Also, the stupid local hoodlums deliberately race and backfire their motorcycles at 3 o'clock in the morning as well, waking you up in addition to the chicken and dog sounds. After taxes and fees it was over $100 a night to stay here. That's no where close to the amount of value provided. No breakfast or food of any kind to be found on the property, and if you want house cleaning, it's every other day. I personally would not return unless there were some major changes. But, if you plan on staying up all night, and have a rental car, I suppose it could be worth it as a much lower price, depending on your preference.

This place was lovely. Everything was so clean, quiet and welcoming. The view of the pool area off the balcony was so beautiful and well taken care of. Housekeeping was always a pleasure Will be staying again :)

What an incredible find! Having never been to the island of Aruba, we had no idea where we should stay. Unbenounced to us, the Del Ray Apartments were centrally located to all our activities and we could not have asked for more. Upon being welcomed by one of the delightful owners, both the tone and itinerary for my family's trip was established. The owners generously offered excellent suggestions and answers to our questions and we were immediately well cared for and comfortable. In addition to be a very well maintained property, it is also secured with a privet gate which made us feel even more at ease. How pleasantly surprised was I the morning the a large percentage of the surrounding population (including us) were out of power and Del Ray Apartments simply fired up their generator to offer their guests uninterrupted conveniences. Wait, What!? A backup generator!? If you are looking for a centrally located, professionally operated, well maintained property at a very reasonably price, look no further!

Nice property, attentive and responsive staff, very close to beach and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again

Quiet, out of the way, yet only 12 minutes from palm beach

Generally an excellent stay but one issue needs to be raised. I always keep some medication in pill form on my bedside table for a specific medical condition in case it flares up during the night. My room was cleaned twice when I was out and on both occasions, the cleaners must have thrown out the pill. I could find not trace of the pills when I returned. Leaving aside the expense, this is really bad. Cleaners should never mess with people's medications. If the guest runs out of the medication, it could be really dangerous. Please advise your cleaners! thanks
