Nestled in an upper class neighborhood, unbelievable pearl of a place. Even with the many outstanding places to see and things to do, Tarlton’s stands out. EVERYthing was great from arrival and greeting by host couple to departure. Luxury but comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the private hot tub with the view over the northeast section of the Bay of Islands. Large bathroom with rain and hand held shower heads with heated towel rack. The hosts were eager to take care of us and I didn’t feel bad about using multiple towels. High quality amenities refreshed daily. Feel free to message for more details.

Wonderful relaxing stay at Tarleton's Lodge. My husband and I enjoyed the peacefulness of the location, proximity to everything we wanted to do, and the beautiful views from the balcony. The hot tub overlooking the water was a great way to unwind at the end of each day. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with our hosts and appreciated the little extras they thought of- the homemade cookies in the room were an especially welcomed treat!

Peter & Katalina are wonderful hosts. Katalina would have homemade ' snacks' to take on my daily trips. The room is large and with a special bonus of a hot tub overlooking the bay of islands. After a day of exploring, hiking etc coming back to the tranquility of that room and hot tub was amazing. I would highly recommend Tarlton's lodge for anyone staying in the by of islands.

Peter & Katarina were such amazing hosts. We found ourselves in Paihia without accommodations. We just sowed up & lucky for we found a little slice of paradise. Great room very comfy King size bed, private patio with a nice view of the Bay of Islands. To top it off a private hot tub on our patio & Air conditioning, that allowed us to have a good nights sleep. Check out Tarlton’s lodge if your in Paihia

We had a very relaxing few days at Tarlton’s Lodge. Everything we required was laid on. The views across the bay are stunning anytime of the day, and it is very tranquil. It’s around a 15 mins walk into Paihia’s shopping and restaurant area, or a five-minute drive. The owners live onsite and they made us feel very welcome. I’m sure like us, you will enjoy your stay here.

Firstly the location is to die for, it’s an escape within an escape. The hosts Peter and Katalina were very warming professional and accommodating. Our room was serviced daily and meticulously. We were provided with water and coke in the fridge, home made cookies that were replenished daily along with tea and coffee (multiple ways). The bed and linens were fresh and a delight to return to at the end of each day. The towel warming rack in the bathroom is also a nice touch and the rain head nozzle to shower with is also very nice.We can recommend a stay here. You will not regret it.

A really lovely cozy, clean, quiet place with a great view and a great hot tub. Hosts were super helpful and accommodating, but left us our privacy as well. The area is fantastic; we were there for three days and nights, and had nowhere near enough time to see and do it all. The only thing to know is that it’s about a twenty minute walk (or a 5 minute drive?) into town to eat or go to the beach. We like to walk, so we spent a fair bit of time walking back and forth. The hosts provided snacks including cookies, so we ended up eating in town about twice per day, and just brought a couple of bottles of wine back to the room to enjoy at night. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful visit to Tarleton Lodge. Peter & Katalina were gracious hosts and made us feel very welcome at the lodge. Rooms were very nice and the hot tubs made for a great ending to the day. Peter saved the day when he shuttled us down to town when our cab was late‼️
