格蘭德羅切飯店(Grande Roche Hotel)

Das Hotelanlage liegt an bester Hanglage, sehr gute Aussicht auf Paarl und die Umgebung. Die Gebäude integrieren sich sehr gut im schönen Gartenpark. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, haben oft wenig Fachkompetenz. Sie sind alle hilfsbereit und verfügen über eine bemerkenswerte Kundenorientierung. Verpflegung: Frühstück: leider kein Buffet, kleine Auswahl an Speisen Dinner: eingeschränkte Karte, kleinste Auswahl an Speisen Die Qualität des Essens ist gut im hohen Preissegment Zimmer: Schlechter Reinigungsservice, erst nach Reklamation wurde das Nötigste erledigt. Gebrauchte Tücher wurden vom Boden aufgenommen, gefaltet und wieder zur Verwendung vorbereitet. Die Reinigung vom Bad vorerst nicht gemacht. Es sind uralte, teil defekte Einrichtungen wie z.B. Handtuchwärmer installiert. Die Kleiderkästen sind innen ausgebrochen, defekt oder vom Wasser zerstört, sind unhygienisch und nicht zu gebrauchen. Die Elektroinstallation im ganzen Zimmer ist uralt und verlottert. Dusche: Die uralte Brause ist nicht arretierbar, der Ablauf ist verstopft und verbreitet einen üblen Geruch im ganzen Bad. Die Wanne ist absolut unhygienisch und unprofessionell repariert. Es sind gefährliche und rostige Schrauben, die aus den Fliesen vorstehen. Gebäude/Umgebung: Die Aussenaufstellung der Klima Kühlgeräte sind vom Sitzplatz her unhygienisch und störend platziert. Das Gebäude ist an der Aussenwand veraltet und Renovation bedürftig, der Verputz bröckelt an verschiedenen Stellen ab. Renovation sind mehr Schein als Sein, es wurde nur übermalt, nicht renoviert. Pool: Es sind verbrochene und schmutzige Ablaufgitter sowie fehlende und zerbrochene Fliesen sichtbar. Die Infrastruktur im ganzen Park auch hier ungepflegt, zum Schein renoviert und meist hlchstens übermalt. Unserer Ansicht nach ist keine Langfristigkeit des Investments für uns zu erkennen Leider haben wir den Aufenthalt schon vorgängig bezahlt, ansonsten wären wir sofort abgereist und hätten uns ein anderes Hotelzimmer gesucht. Die Anlage verdient aus unserer Sicht maximal 3 Sterne in nationalen und internationalen Vergleich.

Beau domaine au milieu des vignes.Trés grande chambre avec salon et terrasse bien équipée avec une belle vue. Salle de bains complète avec 2 vasques  Grande piscine moyennement entretenue Attente interminable au petit déjeuner et au dîner

This was my 3rd time back at Grande Roche. The venue, staff and service never fails to impress. The immaculate setting, the friendly and efficient staff and their can do attitude is what beings us back everything. As an organization we simply enjoy the amd appreciate the care and service we receive at Grande Roche. A hotel and conference venue of note.

What a setting: a grand manor house with really excellent gardens surrounding the various buildings. Beautiful views of Paarl and the surrounding area. Our rooms had a level down from the entrance where there was a small living room and a toilet. We slept in de bedroom upstairs, directly under the thatched roof. The bed was a bit small and the shower was small and outdated: I would have ripped the bathtub out to leave more room for a useable shower. The hotel staff was friendly, especially in the truly spectacular restaurant. We loved the food and being able to sit on the terrace in front, overlooking the gardens and vineyard.

We have stayed here on 4 other occasions , but not for a while, we were so disappointed in the room we were first shown to, a 2 storey suite, in need of an upgrade . We changed to a terrace room, recently refurbished it was lovely a complete contrast, we did have to pay another 750R a night, but worth it. We has issues with the shower , it was not draining and flooded the bathroom every morning, it was reported to maintenance but it was not resolved , it stop it overloading the drains we ended up putting the shower on lower pressure which it did help. During our last stay there was a gym which has now gone, but there are still signs up for the fitness centre which apparently went during Covid.. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and one evening meal, the food was good a high standard. Staff were always happy to help with a smile

When traveling in the Winelands the eyes are spoilt for choice, the mountains, the vineyards, the architecture and so much more. as you drive up Plantasie street you think this cannot be leading to an expansive vineyard as it is a street of beautiful homes and then you turn into Grande Roche and a vineyard opens up in front of you. This property has it all in abundance however it’s has a special ingredient …the staff. You will most definitely be treated to the full five star experience accommodation, food and service delivered by staff who want you to love the property and experience it not just as a hotel but as an indulgence that you will not want to leave. Thank you in particular to Survardia and the restaurant team who not only served us delicious food but also recommended places to visit. In a place where hospitality is delivered to an excellent standard Grande Roche gives even more.

The restaurant and hotel has a high quality old school elegance, matched by the service. Part of a 70th Birthday celebration which the restaurant kindly recognised. Stunning views. The food was delightful with excellent service. Well worth trek from Gordons Bay

Seventh visit and always a great experience. Staff were excellent in re-rooming us when the initial room wasn’t getting adequate light. Some modernization still required with some low level work being done on installing solar panels, so will be great to see the finished article once complete. Will certainly be back once again.

Beautiful room and surrounding gardens. Needs some investment and training in high end customer service. This is a lovely hotel , just has lost some of its sparkle.
