懷託摩巖洞住宿加早餐旅館(Waitomo Caves Guest Lodge)

A very nice place. Hosts Richie and Lynn were friendly and helpful. The location is a stone’s throw from Waitomo caves and there are three places to eat within walking distance. It’s quiet and cozy. Netflix on the TV was welcomed on a rainy evening. The breakfast was welcomed as well.

We enjoyed our stay here: the hosts are outstanding, the value is excellent, and the location most convenient. Perhaps my expectations were too high as it was truly wonderful on a previous stay in 2019, but it has slipped some since then. This is an older property, the rooms are very clean but plain, and one person in our party had a very uncomfortable night due to difficulty with the heat controls. Breakfast was mediocre. I hesitated to gave this 5 stars, but the location and price allowed me to overlook the defects.

Very friendly owners. Helpful with sightseeing. Parking was down a small hill but safe. The room was comfortable. The bathroom was complete with shower but very small. Would stay here again.

Conveniently located near the Waitimo Caves, and the owners were very attentive and super friendly. Also appreciated the generous continental breakfast. Most importantly, the suggestion for a night hike on the Ruakuri bushwalk trail was a great bonus and they even had torches ready for people who wanted go on a hike, where you can see the glowworms for free!

We loved our stay at the guest lodge, though it was just for a night! Rich and Lynn are incredibly sweet and welcoming and made us feel like we were guests in their home!

Very cozy place. Amazing restaurant on the other side of the street. Owners are fantastic people and very polite and courteous. The only thing is the heater was not functioning well and the night was cold but other than that, very nice place.
