Great location friendly staff will definitely return

We recently stayed at the maldon hotel, Oranmore in Galway. We booked a family room which consisted of two double beds and a single bed. Overall the comfort and cleanliness was very good and there was plenty of extra towels etc. One issue we had with the bathroom was the soap dispenser was very high up and far away from the sink which made it difficult for our small children to reach. The breakfast buffet was excellent and a huge selection of food was available which included pancakes and nutella which was a big hit with the kids. We also had an evening meal in the bar which also was excellent. The only fault i had here was that the kids meals should be served along with the adults starters so not to have them waiting. Apart from this it was a very enjoyable stay and the hotel is very close to the Galway races where we visited elf town at the weekend. I would have no problem recommending this hotel.

The hotel was very clean and well kept. The bedroom was spacious and furnishings of high quality. the bedding was so comfy and i slept very well. It was quiet in the room and had all of the amenities required for an overnight stay. The restaurant was great and food good. Breakfast was a very good choice and food also great. The Gym was well stocked and had everything you'd need from a gym, Spin bikes, fitness classes, all the usual resistance machines, Treadmills, Row machines, Bikes, Eliptical, plus a great selection of free weights. Swimming area was very good, large pool and the best Steam room i've been in for years, great little sauna too.

Had a fab Superior family room - for 6 of us (not many hotels offer a room to hold a family of 6). Had dinner in the bar - which was lovely.. Perfect hotel for us

For us the hotel was Okay. we came for hospital visit in Galway from the Netherlands andthought the hotel was neerbuigend, but that was not … The Trafic to come there was awfull. But the hotel was cosy and Okay !

Great hotel, nice staff and food. Usual problem in Ireland in that early breakfasts are not available. If you start work at 0700, you’re out of luck. Parking is limited so if you get a space, don’t go anywhere as it won’t be there when you get back.

We had a great stay in The Maldron Oranmore. The room was perfect for us (2 adults + 2 kids under 5). All staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely and the small shallow area was perfect for us. There's a lovely kids menu in the bar and it was absolutely a family hotel. One thing we found unusual was a lovely play centre 2min away that wasn't advertised in the hotel... for our family it was a life saver on a rainy day.

Very enjoyable stay at the Maldron Hotel in Oranmore; a short drive from Galway city. Our room was a good size, clean and serviced daily. A great selection of hot and cold food at the buffet breakfast with various dietary requirements catered for. Varied menu in the bar for casual evening dining. We used the hotel as a base for visiting tourist locations from Westport to the Cliffs of Moher and we only scratched the surface of what's there during our 4-night stay; a little research is necessary to select your destinations. Galway city of bustling with many sights in the city along with shopping and the surrounding landscape north and south is just stunning.

The hotel is not within walking distance of any restaurants and the “on property” dining choices were limited. The front desk staff did not have good knowledge of local places to eat. Thankfully we had a car and could drive into Ornamore or Galway. Try to book a hotel in Galway if possible.
