Appears to be new. Not sure but certainly looks it inside. It’s super clean, sparkling floors and sparkling ensuite. Comfortable bed and great size TV. Fridge freezer, microwave, good bench space. Big area and 1 bedroom. Can’t fault it. Friendly hosts. Parking onsite. Would definitely stay here again. It’s on a quiet street.

A lovely motel with fabulous hosts. The only problem is that the bed is rock hard. They leave the electric blankets on in summer so on a hard bed you can feel the wires. They really need memory foam topper pads. My back really hurt each morning and after four nights I had had more than enough. I discussed the issue with the managers and they had no solutions available to me as the owner had not provided any. I only hope he will now. If they put topper pads on the bed I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Huge thank you to Hank and Kay for assisting us during our unexpected emergency layover in Omarama. The stay at BigSky was comfortable and a much needed respite for our most memorable start to a holiday yet (think flight cancellations, unplanned road trip, broken down car, flooding, road closure). Hank went the extra mile to check on us, offer help and give us lifts into town. The rooms are super clean, new and cosy. Kitchen is well equipped and love the Manuka toiletries provided. We are a family of 4 travelling (mum, 2 teens and a child) and managed to squeeze in one room with the aid of the double sofa bed. After arriving wet and cold on a rainy winter night when our car broke down, the room was most inviting. Next time we visit this part of NZ, will definitely stop by again. Thanks Natalie

my wife and I were traveling through from te anau to christchurch and stayed a night at the big sky motel. the owner/ managers were very welcoming and friendly. the motel units are very modern , central , quiet and comfortable. we enjoyed our short stay and will definitely stop by again next time we are passing through.

This little place is the nicest motel I have ever seen. The layout design of the small room makes it seem much bigger. The quality of the furniture is top notch. I can't believe I'm gushing about a motel. but it's really that good.

We really enjoyed staying here. Owners are lovely and it is such a peaceful location. The room was spotless and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Omarama. Thanks for having us 😀

We were really happy with our stay. The owners were friendly, unit comfortable and clean and had everything we were looking for. I would stay again.

Great welcome. Really quiet location. The accommodation was spotless and the bed really comfy . One suggestion would be to replace the towels . Would definitely stay again .
