Great value for money. Lovely rooms and food. Unfortunately the managerial staff are not so good. I witnessed first hand members of the travelling community being discriminated against by the Restaurant/Duty Manager. When coming through the doors to reception from my room, the male reception staff member together with two door men turned to stare at me whilst I walked down the hall. I felt extremely intimidated by this I was then accosted by the male member of reception staff for allegedly bringing drink down from my room, despite the fact we had been given a bottle of bubbly as part of our stay. He insisted on smelling the other glass as he didn't believe it was water. He spoke to me in a harsh, intimidatory, authorative manner - not a great way to treat a customer who had stayed overnight twice in one week, and had also stayed previously, and who had spent money on both food and drink whilst staying on all occasions. The issue was reported to the Duty Manager he said he would deal with it and said the door men did not work for the hotel although I did state they would most certainly be considered as acting as agents of the hotel but he didn't seem to acknowledge this. Another resident entered the reception area after me with a drink and she wasn't not accosted as I'm sure the majority of residents bringing drinks down weren't so why me🤔🤔🤔
