I’m a slow walker, but it only took me about nine minutes to reach from the hotel to Shinkansen at Okayama Station. The building appears slightly older, as the room keys are not electronic. However, the interior seems recently renovated, and the facilities are very clean. There are plenty of outlets for charging devices, and the thermos provided keeps water hot. The bed, featuring a Tempur-Pedic mattress, was extremely comfortable. One downside was the absence of a hair dryer in the room. If you need one, it’s best to check in advance or request one at the front desk. The business center looked quite functional and well-equipped. Breakfast is served in a bento box and meant to be eaten in your room. While the hotel discourages taking it outside, you do so at your own risk.
