This small hotel (they have 9 rooms) is simply the best! Our room, number 4, was perfect and I would highly recommend reserving this one. The beautiful courtyard was very serene and there was always something to drink along with biscuits/fruit laid out for the guests. The rooftop bar is stunning and again, just so serene and peaceful. I also cannot say enough about the service!! Here is one example that tells you how extraordinary the service is. We had asked Carlos the best place to catch cab. Instead of simply telling us where, he took us outside, hailed a cab for us and negotiated the price! Casa Antonieta also lined up a driver that picked us up at the airport and took us back to the airport for a 6:00 am flight. In addition, they arranged a private driver for us for a day. Caffe Muss located next door, is a wonderful place to grab a drink. Look no where else! Stay here

Incredible stay and beautiful comfortable hotel. Probably the best stay in Oaxaca centro area. All staff extremely hospitable and gracious. I was only lucky enough to book 2 nights stay due to this being a last minute stay but really wished I could have been here my whole 4 days. I have already recommended this hotel to many people and will continue to recommend. If there is availability choose Casa Antonieta without hesitation, you will fall in love with the ambience and the staff.

Beautiful place. Well deserved 5* rating. All the staff are very welcoming, from the reception to the coffee shop to the terrace restaurant. There’s so much attention to detail everywhere. We were in room number one. Even though you can see the street directly from the window, the room was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay here very much thanks to the friendly and wonderful staff.

Beautiful boutique Hotel with excellent location in Oaxaca, the staff is great and very helpful. This option is going to be your best one, for the ultimate luxury vacation in Oaxaca! The coffe bar and breakfast options are top notch, no need to go and look other places.

Pros: amazing location, super friendly and helpful staff, rooftop is delightful, comfortable beds, very clean Cons: We were in rooms 3 & 4 which do not have windows to the outside. The windows open right into the lobby so you can't open the drapes because anyone can see right into the room. Room 4 does have an patio area that is open to the sky.

Great location. Having a roof top bar, cafe and restaurant at the hotel was perfect. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.

We kicked off the first five days of our 16-day 40th wedding anniversary tour of Mexico at Casa Antonieta in Oaxaca. We will always cherish our time in Ciudad Oaxaca, and our experience at Casa Antonieta was a huge part of that. From the cool, pristine, peaceful mornings and evenings on the rooftop patio, to the friendly greetings from Andrea and Romina at the front desk, to the wonderful service from the upstairs bar and breakfast area from the Musa Cafe staff, Casa Antonieta delivered. Thanks for Andrea at the front desk, we were connected to a local guide (Salvador), who was able to take us off the beaten path to the original artisan neighborhood of the city for amazing cacao, coffee, crafts, and textiles. Salvador also took us on a day trip to the Ruta Majical de las Artesenias (The Magical Route of Handicrafts), where we visited four communities of indigenous people who amazed and inspired us. Through Salvador, we personally met "The Oaxacan Freda Khalo" in the mercado in the Ocotian main square. We purchased Oaxacan dresses from Oaxacan women in San Antonino, where we also met Maestro Jose Garcia and Maestra Santa Reyna Teresita, who at this moment are crafting a custom clay piece for our backyard. We did the Oaxacking Food Tour with Leiver, our gastro guide, who took us to the local food establishments and introduced us to the famous, Dona Vale, who was celebrating 40 years of personally serving the most amazing recipes from a food booth in the absolutely unbelievable local mercado en el centro de Oaxaca. Casa Anonieta was our oasis and our hub from which we departed and to which we returned after our awe-inspiring days. I celebrate Oaxaca — its people and its history, and I give thanks for our time at Casa Antonieta. It was our first trip to the city and most certainly won't be the last.

Charming, spotless, delightful. Recommend this boutique hotel very highly. Staff was a highlight.
