I stayed here on Monday July 24 with my husband and kids. I was grossed out and disappointed. The hotel was old and run down, the ceiling was falling off in parts. the carpet in the room is grimey. And the pool was a let down. Small and awkward shaped and not only that. THERE WAS A SWIMMING LESSON GOING ON preventing us from enjoying the pool. How dumb! My son also scratched his stomach on a 3 inch pole that was sticking out of the pool jet. On top of that, I forgot my bathing suit in the room. When I contacted housekeeping to get it shipped to me, (I of course would pay the shipping) they said yes but it’s an extra $20 administration fee. Shame on you Holiday Inn. I will never stay at this chain of hotels again. Disappointed. We paid $180 and expected better. We are from Alberta so I guess you get better bang for your buck. But don’t be fooled. This is not a 3.5/4 star hotel. It’s a 2.

We recently stayed there for 4 nights (Fri-Mon), and for the entirety of our stay, housekeeping did not clean our room one time! for the first 2 days (Sat and Sun) we had a knock on the door before 9AM. For a weekend, that seems to be rather early to attempt to start cleaning rooms. Either way, they never came back to clean our room later in the day. There were a few different times that I had to go to the front desk to reload on towels, and even had to get someone to reload the soap in the shower. Otherwise, the room was clean when we checked in, I was traveling with my wife and two small children, so it would have been easier if they had more space for working out of multiple suitcases, but oh well. The location was convenient enough for us, and the pool was good enough for our kids and never got crowded, but the lack of attending to our room, really caught me off-guard. I was just not expecting that and thought they would be more persistent correcting that, especially if I'm coming to the front desk multiple times in one stay to pick up towels. I would at least think they would wonder what was going on that I just kept needing more towels.
