安翁威之家(Nungwi House)

Il personale è cortese, wifi copre tutte le camere (quando funziona) e la posizione è ottima. Ma... Gli asciugamani e le lenzuola erano costantemente macchiati, fatti cambiare più volte, il risultato non è mai cambiato. Le stanze sono estremamente minimal: ad esempio c'è solo un "comodino" per un letto matrimoniale. Idem per gli interruttori della luce, sono solo da un lato. E non si sa dove appoggiare vestiti o altro Non c'è una zanzariera attorno al letto, e gli infissi non sono esattamente a prova di zanzara.. Non c'è una mensola nella doccia per appoggiare gli shampoo o altro Non ci sono tende coprenti (nel caso vi dia fastidio la luce al mattino presto) La colazione è mediocre e molto semplice: un piatto di frutta, un succo a scelta loro, tè/caffè, fette di pan carrè e uova. Il WC non era fissato, quindi bisogna stare attenti a sedersi 😅 Non hanno il generatore, quindi capita di rimanere senza corrente (spesso no, a volte per 10 minuti, a volte per 3h)

Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Grande salle de bain, eau chaude et bonne pression de l’eau. Le personnel est très accueillant j’ai eu la chance de manger un repas local dès mon arrivée. Tout est fait pour rendre votre séjour agréable. Je recommande cet établissement pour son excellent emplacement, nombreux commerces à proximité, taxis, restaurants et plage. Le personnel est au petit soin.

The hotel is in a strategic position, a few minutes from the beach. The staff is very friendly and available for any need. The air conditioning didn’t work our last night but this place is 100% value for money. Special thanks to Mariam, Tito and all the people of the team for their smiles and kindness.

One of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning in the room did not work and there is no overnight staff to contact. It was 34 degrees. There is no bottled water in the rooms (you cannot drink the tap water). When an extra towel was requested (for the second person in the room - the room had 2 beds) the staff said none were available as they needed to do laundry. One was eventually provided and it was dirty. Stained with unidentified substance on certain parts. Staff at breakfast was friendly but there is no water available then either. They suggest you purchase at a local shop. The location is very (!) difficult to get to due to the lack of roads (there is a road but it is not paved and so full of crevasses it is very difficult for cars to access it. Would not recommend unless your only requirements for the evening are a flat surface to sleep on with walls around you.

My partner and our two friends stayed here for 5 days and were very happy. Rooms had AC and were very clean and modern. We felt safe and it was a 3 minute walk to the beach with lots of restaurants. The hotel offered a few excursions and we did the dolphins, which was an okay experience. The staff were absolutely wonderful and the included breakfast was way better than anything else we had in Tanzania.

We cancelled our stay at an airbnb to stay at Nungwi House on very short notice. After one month traveling around Tanzania, Nungwi House had the best accommodations of our entire trip. They had air conditioning in the room, which was great, they had a tasty breakfast, super friendly staff, regular cleaning, hot water in the showers, and a quiet place to stay. They are not right on the beach, but they are a very, very short walk from everything you need including grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and the beach itself. They are also very close to taxis and are happy to help you get a cab. They were very kind and allowed us to store our stuff with them for over eight hours after we checked out and even offered us the chance to shower when we returned to take our things before a long flight. Someone mentioned that you can't drink the tap water but this is Africa: you can't drink the tap water anywhere! And bottled water is dirt cheap at the grocery store right outside. If you are traveling on a budget, this is the place you want to go!

Rooms are small and modest with few place for clothes. There is air conditioner that we didn't use because it was not needed. Only one towel per person. Issues with hot water after the power outage. Things that were not working (drying knob) we reported to the staff but were not fixed. One of our two rooms didn't lock well and sometimes we found it unlocked after the cleaning service. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed after 3 days. Lining was not changed. All rooms are ground floor. We had a small lizard in the room. Yard is ok but needs regular gardening. Location is awful, at the dusty parking square with the noise all the night. There is a shop, souvenirs and pharmacy close to the guest house. Also plenty of restaurants nearby. Breakfast is the same every day and the content is acceptable - fruits, egg(s), toast, pancake, jam, margarine, chocolate topping, peanut butter, tea or coffee. You also get fresh and tasty avocado and passion juice every day. No drinking water. The fork and knife they put directly on the table that is not clean. We found ants in the margarine and saw a rat in the kitchen. After that I stopped consuming breakfast.

I am happy that I stayed at Nungwi House. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I felt like friends. They helped me about anything. I would definitely recommend this place. It is very close to the beach and there are taxis right in front of the hotel.

Fantastic staff ,Hotel really good value for the price,Room big and clean. Nice breakfast.Would totally recommend if your looking for just a place to stay while you get out and about
