阿克雷裡飯店(Hotel Akureyri Dynheimar)

Very mixed feeling about this place. In the one hand I love what they are trying to do, but on the other hand they let themselves down so much. We checked in for one night (I don’t think I could actually spend more than one night in this place). Check in is a bit different, they text you a room number and key code. (Previous comments around that they don’t actually change the room key code). On check in the bed had only been made up for one person so we that had to be fixed, unfortunately by the time we realised the remote didn’t work for the tv the reception lady had left. The room was pretty small, the bed was shoved up against the wall and there was no wear to sit. We both had one bag each and there was not enough room. In addition to this, there is construction work in from and to the side of the hotel, I think previously they had made mention of water views, but the new construction will block all that out. No breakfast was included unlike everywhere else we stayed in Iceland. Wouldn’t stay here again, we stayed in Mytven the previous night and I wished we had just stayed up there longer. As mention if they re designed the rooms it would be much better.

Wonderful place and very kind staff! The rooms are very clean and it’s in a great location to walk around. Unique and fun decor too. One of the best places we stayed in Iceland!

Great location, free parking in front of hotel and walkable to all sites. Due to covid, we did not see staff, but the hotel and rooms are very clean. The rooms are a bit small, not much space to move around. We had two rooms. In one of the rooms we had to keep the sink drain closed due to a stench. Other than that we would stay again.

We loved this Micro Hotel, very cosy rooms with all the amenities & comfort you could ask for. Their North restaurant as insanely good & the overall style/vibe of the Micro Hotel as top. Thank you all & wishing you a prosperous 2023 :)

The check in and check out process is amazing. The hotel decor was very nice and everything is walking distance. The view out our window was beautiful. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Our sixth stop along Ring Road was in Akureyri and this modern, eclectic hotel was located perfectly, just off the waterfront and near many of the town’s restaurants / points of interest. Check-in was a breeze, but guests will need access to their email / messaging for instructions as there is no staff on site to render any sort of assistance. That being said, after a quick phone call, an extremely minor issue with the room was rectified within mere minutes. The bed was comfortable, and the town itself was a delight. Only drawbacks would be the second floor rooms can get quite warm, even in late April, but an open window and a provided fan helps ease some of the discomfort. Also, we had to carry our luggage up to the second floor as either the property isn’t equipped with an elevator or there’s insufficient signage indicating where it can be found.
