VEA 紐波特海灘萬豪度假飯店水療中心(VEA Newport Beach, a Marriott Resort & Spa)

A nice hotel at the hill over looking to Newport. Great service, good food&drinks, comfortable beds, upscale crowd. If we stay in Newport we can stay there again.

The front desk did not accommodate me in any kind of way. The lady at the front desk at first said they had no upgrades available, but then said she would see if her Manager would accommodate. After waiting 15 minutes, she came back and said her manager said no but try again the following day. I asked that following morning, and the same thing occurred. I've worked in hospitality for years, and this was very disappointing.

Betsy who checked us in was exceptional, she made us feel welcomed immediately. Betsy gave us a great orientation of the property, as it was our first stay. We were moving our son into his first college house, we loved staying with you. Thank you to your staff particularly, Betsy for her warm welcome. Thank you, Micheli Family

First time at this hotel to celebrate an anniversary. Initial vibes were good and we were greeted right away. Checked in and we headed to our room, once inside room it looked nice but on the smaller side considering the price point. Went to use the bathroom and noticed right away it was not clean whatsoever. They did send a maid to clean it but as time passed on I noticed in several corners of the room there was dirt collected alongside someone else’s hair. I’d say food at the outdoor bar area was mediocre. Drinks made up for it a bit. So overall quality of the hotel for the price point does not match. I’d say given the feel of everything it is definitely overhyped and at best a $300 a night per room hotel considering the area too. Despite this we made the best of our trip and enjoyed everything else we had planned.

We checked in at 7pm and leaving the next morning but are charged $45 for a resort fee (even though we didnt use a single thing on the resort and there is no option to park your car so they charge you $55 to valet your car 1 time???? Then you feel obligated to tip the valet person. $100 in hidden fees that we did not use and wouldn't want to use. These fees should be elective not hidden ways into increase profit.

Literally across the street from Fashion Island, the staff were incredibly friendly (special shout-out to Tamara ), always smiling and eager to help. Stunning views from our rooms. Clean and modern bathrooms, comfy bed. It was perfect for our short Newport family vacation.

This is a newly remodeled Marriott with what appears to be a "cool" name. The facility is fine until you get to the bathroom in your room. In an effort to remake the facility in the "hipster" fashion, they have removed any sense of privacy. Every movement you make on the toilet is heard clearly in the entire room. It's awkward to say the least, even for the most seasoned couple.

The property is a shopper's dream, being next to Fashion Island. The views of the Pacific Ocean were panoramic. Overall, we had a great time. There was a water leak in our room on our last day, but the hotel knocked off some money from our final bill to make up for it. We were happy about that. The work out facilities are ok, and primarily stress cardio. The outside pool is nice. 👍
