澳洲之行住了好幾個酒店，這家還是挺不錯的，我們的房間位置恰好能看得見對面的摩天輪，晚上特別漂亮。床也很舒服，前台很熱情，性價比很高。

位置還算方便，周邊有2超市，酒店無拖鞋、整體也比較簡陋，反正也是小地方，入住也很晚才行，性價比挺低的。

Easy location to drive to, about a 15-20 min walk into ‘downtown’ and the beach area. All on easy paths to follow. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Good for a stop off when driving the coast.

Good place for what you pay Small room, wouldn't want to stay long We only stayed one night, which was OK A big plus is the hotel car park, you have to book and pay extra. Location is good for public transport as well The light rail stop and the train station are only a few Minutes walking away.

Horrible. Tiny rooms. Smelt. Toilet water continuously running. Will never stay at Ibis chain again. Very expensive for what you got

Great location and room was clean

Je connaissais les hôtels Ibis pour en avoir fréquenté pas mal en France. C'était toujours à peu près identique et relativement correct. Cet hôtel est en dessous de la norme Ibis. D'abord je suis passé 2 fois en voiture sans le voir,il faut revoir votre signalétique. Dans la diuche, distributeur de savon non rechargé, c'est très désagréable. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est risible,je n'ai jamais vu un buffet aussi pauvre et le café se fait avec des dosettes de poudre alors qu'il semble y avoir une machine à café, mais manifestement ce n'est pas pour les clients. Côté personnel, seul un employé français a été agréable ( c'est pour cette raison que je ne mets pas qu'une seule étoile) ,le reste est à former en ce qui concerne l'accueil client. Bref, si je repasse à Newcastle, j'éviterai cet Ibis.

Having stayed at an Ibis in Sydney a couple of times, we knew what to expect in terms of room size and inclusions and adjusted our expectations for Newcastle accordingly. The room could have done with an update but it was clean and quite adequate for our two night stay. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The only lift is rather small and four people made it seem crowded. The hotel’s location is in what could be described as a seedy part of the city but is in easy walking distance to a large supermarket/shopping centre and a decent restaurant. We are used to walking around cities but less mobile guests would probably want to drive. On site parking is available at an extra charge but is worth it as there doesn’t seem to be any other parking options nearby.

This is the grossest hotel i have ever stayed in and i have been in hostels in Europe. We arrived to our room to find urine still in the toilet, there were multiple cockroaches running around and our door wouldn’t lock when we were trying to leave our room. Would not recommend at all.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a 4 night stay. The hotel is located in a derelict part of the city with the adjacent buildings closed and some having large scaffolding across the front. From the outside it looks fine however internally, it is well overdue for some serious maintenance. The check went well, with complementary drinks being offered on your first night. The staff were informative and polite. Having left the check in I was directed to the hotels only lift. (unfortunately this broken down the following day and guests had to use the fire escape stairwell to get to and from their rooms, although it appeared to be fixed the following morning) The left could have done with some serious cleaning as the floors were filthy and I reluctantly had to touch the dirty lift buttons. When I arrived on my floor I was greeted with carpets that were well worn and in dire need to being cleaninged. The walls of the corridor were very dated and the original colour of the paint had faded. On one of the electrical panels, insulation fluff was hangin out. When I got to my room I was greeted by dried blood on the door handle. Although the room was made up, I am not sure as to the exact extent of the cleaning as I found a pair of thongs (jandals) in my room that had been discarded or left behind by the previous occupant. The room would have been tight for two occupants. of note there is little insultaton between the walls and conversations and televisions can be heard from the adjacent rooms. The bathroom was small and they have tried to maximise the space by making it almost circular. The hotel supplied its own hand/body wash in the shower and again basic fittings where throughout. The hotel served it purpose for my trip, however I wont be staying there again unless it undergoes a massive updating.

The cleaning was dreadful. The bathroom had hair all in the shower and had mucus snot on the shower door and the door in and out of the bathroom, room had a terrible smell. The bed only had sheets on it. The doona was scrunched up in top of the wardrobe wasn’t game enough to put it on the bed it was that gross.
