謝爾曼飯店(Hotel Scherman)

beautiful, spacious rooms. i wish my apartment had looked like this! great location if catching a show without being overwhelmed by the area. perfect if you drive or take the train in. close enough to port authority and major subway stops and easily walkable from penn station. all in all a great experience.

We loved Hotel Scherman. Many places to eat just outside the front door. The room was very spacious & clean. Our flight home was cancelled & we had to stay another night, they were very helpful & accommodating to us. They had another room for us ready a couple hours before check in. Could not recommend this hotel enough! Don’t hesitate, just book.

Lovely boutique property in the heart of the city - easy walk from Port Authority/centrally located- we walked to performances at Lincoln Center and MSG, and saw a play that was literally a block away. Countless wonderful places to dine within a short walk as well. The staff were delightful and the room was cozy but had ample room for two without feeling like we were in a shoebox like so many NYC hotels. Keurig and fridge in the room were welcome touches, and the daily complimentary breakfast was perfect - a simple selection of breads/croissants, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and juices. Overall felt more like we were staying in an apartment with lovely amenities rather than a big box hotel- definitely recommend!!

Great hotel in a perfect location for the theaters and midtown. Surprised by the size of the room for a NYC hotel. We had room with two queen beds and plenty of space including a small kitchenette. Very nice continental breakfast buffet included. Much nicer than a typical continental breakfast. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

We stayed in the penthouse to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday, and it was perfect for our night out. The hotel was super accommodating and even helped with getting the room “decorated” to surprise her. The location and price were great for what we were looking for that night. We would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Scherman! The rooms were clean and comfortable, it's a convenient location if you're seeing a show, and the continental breakfast was a nice touch. Highly recommend.

Very run down. All of the upholstery is very stained. Cabinets are scratched up. Shower floors are black with mold in the grout. The superficial renovation done a few years back did not update any bathroom fixtures which are all tacky and outdated. The outdoor patio walls are stained with mold and the cushions need replaced. The street has decent restaurants but the food from the breakfast bar is processed, cheep and stale.

We did not have one complaint about this hotel! The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean, breakfast was well done. Would definitely recommend and plan to stay again next time we are in New York
