Still here, but had to write review now. Hotel Monteleone is in the perfect location; near, easy walk, to all the fun, music and restaurants of the French Quarter, but wonderfully elegant and quiet. And 5-10 minute car ride to the other areas and 20 to jazz festival. We opted to stay in the new tower with those amenities, no real view but nice room, great AC , turndown service and wonderfully quiet at night which matters to me a lot. Roof pool, gym and spa there, but then we also enjoy the beautiful areas of original hotel which are meticulously kept up. Best perhaps is the staff. To a person, everyone we interact with is extremely helpful, nice, and smiling which creates the greatest atmosphere. I especially have to call out to Pamela Williams, their Manager of Uniforms. She overheard me quietly asking at the gift shop where could I buy just a banana, we were leaving for a tour but that i was a little nauseous from morning medicines. She came to me immediately, told me to wait right there and ran to grab several for me. When she returned with them she whispered to me that her mom also takes strong morning meds with a banana so she understands. I almost cried, what empathy and what an example of going WAY beyond the job of hospitality & customer service. I want management and the family owners to know they should be extremely proud and appreciative of Ms Williams and of all their staff, they are doing Hotel Monteleone proud and your best marketing/sales ambassadors! We will return.
